The Thompson was previously in a closed test for Normandy; why was it removed and replaced with the Sten? Normandy with Stens instead of Thompsons is going to feel so strange. I assume it isn’t ready or something, but it looked so polished in the game play from the closed test that it was available in that I don’t understand why it still wouldn’t be ready. Surely it needed to be in-game for the open beta stage right??
You can see it being used in the start of this video, looks perfect to me; can’t understand why it would be excluded from this open beta, even more strange to be replaced by a Sten. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qxesio9-IVU
They should still test the Thompson. Its actually going to be in the Normandy campaign so I would say that would take priority. We have a ross rifle for some reason but no Thompson of any variant
They can have both, leaving it out and adding the Sten instead is contradictory to the apparent aim of the game in terms or realism and accuracy which they stated is important to the game. The open beta will bring the most eyes on the game and inevitably more criticism, so why start off the open beta like this? There is a paid season pass, at this point I really do not think testing the sten is a good reason to leave the Thompson out considering the Thompson has already been tested.
It’s not about wanting to use the gun now, it’s about the game being in best state possible for the open beta. Open betas can make or break games. People are worried the game is taking a Pay-to-win route, so this is only making people assume the worst in that it is planned to be added as a premium squad weapon or something.
It would probably be too op but it be neat in berlin that instead of explosive packs you could have panzerfausts, would probably be too op but it would be a neat idea
