bro that was a joke?
@schyrikami i really wish that the thing you made. was a joke.
but looking the effort behind doesn’t looks like.
i am giving you the benefict of the doubt. but my nose turned up many times. ( a way of say that things doesn’t looks clear for me )
like, golden hammer jokes, it’s a good one.
but the entire suggerstion of the hammer, my god what have they done to you.
That would be 60 Euro comrade - Gaijin 2021
well, i see now the joke…
but considering that persons of duty have no sense of humor, they will most likely takes things seriously.
that’s all.

but damn, imagine like in mordhau, the floppish dude running around with 4 pans.
Jokes aside - suggestion to add engineer tiers with various buildings isn’t a joke, its a suggestion afterall to add something. This is how suggestions do work. Now what definitely is a joke - is to join a game and complain about every thing already made expecting everything to be changed just because it could possibly go differently.
yeah. because everyone knoes that enginners and piooners were locked behind a hammer. right?
Officer:" Lay down some sandbags and bunker pioooners, counter attack is coming "
Piooner: " oh i’m sorry, i can’t. my hammer it’s not upgraded "
not to mention, you even like this mechanic.
i still have to understand how can someone comed out with such idea.
you clearly have time to waste for such nonsense.
No, because its a game and a variety of sand bug types is exactly what it lacks and there is nothing wrong adding these as alternative buildings for some efforts made (progression made).
just because lacks of type of sanbags, doesn’t mean have to be conpensated by wasting huge time behind upgrading a fucking hammer.
Just because you dont like to spend time behind upgrades doesnt means suggestion is a joke and new types should not be implemented. Which means the suggestion itself “to add” buildings is pretty much legit and good. The way its gonna be made is always up to devs. Since we know how they do it - its right to apply this rules and combine suggestion with current implementations.
exept, it’s preatty much is.
i don’t know about you, but the advertise of the game never actually mentioned that i had to play fallout 4/76 in a world war two game.
because i can understand in a game like those. but not on a world war 2 game.
the whole upgrading system it’s complealty no sense.
what next?
funkers that need a level 5 radio to call a bigger artillery?
because otherwise you will only be able to call it lighter, and closer?
next, tanks that i have to upgrade because they already fought in another battles, and i have to demonstrate that i am worthy of getting repairs?
logical at all
We are straying into Fortnite territory here lmao
On a serious note, although I am not against the idea of more complex buildables, I don’t want it behind more RNG elements. I’d like something closely tied to building resources we have right now.
i mean, to be honest, i prefer having a cosmetic system like that ( no, not wacky cosmetics for a ww2 like bfv did ) but you don’t have to pay for fucking upgrades. and shit.
so, if you like the title, you buy skins, and the whole project continue to live as everyone can actually play it.
We can stop them by translating out opinions on that post
Like my comment and I will like yours so we can make some type of resistance and show those ruskies that this is a bad idea
Edit:
lol even @627636 agreed to that shit
I summon the @5762269 I want to see his opinion on this
soldiers should not be able to fire thier gun unless it is 1 star …you get the guns but you have to melee with it unless you upgrade it first …this will allow guns to have thier practical uses clulbbing soldiers dead
for golden stuff:
And for this:
upgrades do not add variety. It actually removes variety, as the upgraded hammer asumably would not be able to build all buildings, only the best versions. And as they are just that, the BEST versions, nobody would intentionally keep their hammer low level for the other buildings. But if you ARE able to build everything with the best hammer, it just becomes REQUIRED to have that one, or you can give up on playing engineer because you cannot build the good buildings. In the meanwhile, the people that are forced to play with the shitty hammer will feel like they are LOSING OUT on the good stuff, instead of liking the extra variation. Because at the end of the day, there is still a meta that you cannot escape from.
This is fine. But hammer upgrades are the absolute WORST way of going about this.
My solution:
If you want more sandbag types, why not just introduce an engineer blueprint system, where you can override the default blueprints with special ones?
For example, the base blueprint for guns would be AA. Then you could either replace that with MG nest, or AT cannon. This is handled on a per-engineer basis and would allow you to have more variety with more engineers, giving players more incentive to take the underused engineer squad. Of course there have to be enough variations to make up for the loss of AT gun and MG nest in the building set, but 10 buildings to choose from was getting a bit too much anyways. We can even slot the hedgehog and barbed wires with the sandbags, and ammo crate with respawn point.
After that, you would have
Defense: Sandbags etc
Offense: AA gun etc
Utility: Respawn point etc
Then you can expand upon that by adding stuff like a heavy stationary mortar for offense, sniper nest (fortification to give cover to a sniper) for defense, medkit crate (max 1 medkit per soldier replenished) for utility, explosive crate (again max 1 per soldier replenished) for utility, and so on.
As a result, engineers would have like 20+ buildings to pick from in main menu while keeping the choice of buildings ingame at 3, to streamline how fast a player can pick buildings and start building. It would also force the engineer to specialize in something.
Lastly we could even allow people to replace the offensive building with an utility building for pure support players.
Having to build all that seperately is perfectly fine - all in one go, not so much. Unless we can destroy it al by shooting any of it with an anti tank rifle and it takes 2-4 shots to take it all down.
With the perks and upgrade system we might as well enforce this as you are starting to fire peashooters nowadays.
until 1 explosive pack demolishes the whole thing
if its not made with wire, because wire is indestructible!
