This guy found a way to fix the campaign system!

Dude, he did NOT post any video in this thread

oh damn, i just noticed i havent been talking to the same person that created the suggestion xD

anyway, i’d still argue that unification of campaigns isnt really great idea since ghost towns will now be maps, not campaigns, just like some war thunder maps, which i suspect arent even in rotation actually

most of the infantry guns in game are prewar. thompson (and its variants) in normandy even though it is 6 star weapon was made in 1917 and it was in US service since 1938. BAR was in service from 1918, garand in service 1936, springfield m1903 from 1903 etc.
there is absolutely 0 reason to give ā€œoldā€ guns for ā€œfreeā€. they need levels (3-6 stars) so they can be easily grindable or not depending on their presence in particular campaign and for game balance purposes. also m3 and m3a1 were designed later than thompson (1942) and first combat with them was in 1944, but they are 3 stars while thompson is 6 stars… so yeah… they obviously can…

? you mean that some maps wont be played? or that some campaigns arent played now? ffs write more coherently.

yes, but they havent been deployed massively, and for those that were and have no advanced replacement, well, for those it might work, but only for those

if some campaigns are dead towns now, then they will be dead towns too, except that they wont be played at all, because players would be diverted to other campaigns

how would campaigns be dead towns when you are effectively increasing playerbase who can play. before you had players from one faction concentrated mostly in one campaign. e.g. normandy axis. now those players who were in normandy axis would play all campaigns depending on their equipment and rest of the campaigns wouldnt be ghost towns. also you are totally ignoring all reasons why some campaigns are deserted. fragmented playerbase on 5 campaigns, multiple grind for almost same weapons and people are tired of playing faction that constantly looses cause of poor playerbase.

i would gladly play all campaigns with axis if i didnt have to grind them all over again. but cause i dont have time to grind (and am lazy) i will only play axis on normandy.

you have same number of players, the diffrence is that you concentrate them, and if campaigns are divided by tiers (battle rating of units picked from tree), then there is no single diffrence unless low-tier players get uptiered, but this would be frustrating to them, causing them to leave game and then the problem is even greater

and all axis are suddenly ghost towns

this is why we need to expand stock stuff

i do get your point, but i doubt devs wolud ever do it

you have same number of players, but you have more balanced matches for both sides. also people who grinded e.g. axis on moscow or stalingrad have absolute 0 incentive to play axis on those campaigns unless they are masochists. it is negative feedback circle: axis low population->non stop defeats->stop playing the campaign->axis even lower population. with unification people who have grinded axis on deserted campaigns can play them with actual axis playerbase.

so overall axis would see rise in population. also there are lot more techniques that could balance MM when you have unified playerbase if there are balance issues.

also low vs high tier wouldnt happen cause you can actually have MM with big playerbase. now MM can only be possible if you want to play with and against bots.

but with a low one?

This guy found a way to fix the campaign system!

No he didn’t.

He took WarThunder model and try to apply it to Enlisted. Creating more historical inaccuracy than a time traveling Hitler in the movie Kung Fury.
And those idea have already been proposed in the forum, several time.
Everytime there was some very strong counter argument, that would imply it would make the game only worst.

There is no easy way to fix the campaign.

It only impact two thing:

  • the grind
  • the player base spread

The grind is not a bad stuff.
Difficulty bring challenge, challenge bring reward, reward bring satisfaction and a purpose to work hard.
Stalingrad +400%x2 exp was shit because it was so easy to get all you want that it lost all of its value.
Hopefully it was removed.

Player base spread… well… Put the game on Steam. And do not launch a game if a faction is not fill by at least 7 people.
The overcrowded faction will have long wait time, but it will regulate itself.

Lmao

To summ if you want to have a better player base, you have to put the game on steam.
But to put the game on Steam, you have to be able to monetized the Game on Steam. (it’s a free to play after all)
But now it’s a geopolitical problem:

  1. Because of sanction it’s not possible. Gaijin is a Russian Company. And Steam politic say it don’t want to trade with Russian. The Gabe Newell Policy.

  2. But also sanction that are caused because of the war. The war that has been started by president P *

  3. But also the war that is not over because Ukraine resist way more than it was previewed.

So to conclude, the only way to fix Enlisted Campaign system is:

  • Assasinate Gabe Newell.
  • Drop the Tsar bomba on Ukr.
  • Make a coup to destituate president P *

THIS IS BULLSHIT BUT IT MAKES MORE SENS THAN THIS STUPID VIDEO!

Is true both gaijin and darkflow are born in the motherland and most of the employer are russian but…

gaijin have HQ in hungary, darkflow in latvia, so both are not hitted or small hitted by the sanction, only russian player have huge problem for buy stuff, in fact war thunder is still in steam and milk dirt western money

Next week there’s Gloomhaven on Epic, after that I will only come back to Steam when Victoria 3 releases.
