How the fuck enlisted passed from a cool Battle Sim on CBT to a Full on Camper vs Tank/Plane vs Spawn Camping shit hole?
I can play shit anymore, even tanks are spawn camping at certain stages and most LF matchs are basically spawn camping or camping around the points just to get kills and dont even battling for the point itself
Er there is spawn protection, so you could counter them… the problem is that not everyone playing objective. I play arty support, suppression, with regular fire, have sniper in my squad, but technically am I playing objective, no…
Assuming that the game is to be based on reality, it is normal to take a position and fire from it. In the reality of IIww no one bunnyhopped with ppd in the middle of an open field.
Bigger problem is CS GO style players who don’t fell the war. They stupidly rush, takes air or tanks and suicide after drop bomb.
Bro the game is arcady as fuck, camping is a problem and it shouldn’t be disguised as “tAcTicAl”.
Ok, like really, you guys are trying to make enlisted into some kind of shitty copy of milsims
Players have different motivation during closed testing, of course they behave differently. Many have been warning that this is what’s going to happen once the game opens to the public.
The problem is somewhat obscured in squads mode because there are barely any players there. It’s still mostly bad when you encounter them, but it’s barely 15% of your interactions. Solo mode makes all gameplay and map design issues extremely obvious.
I don’t know, maybe they should just make it full PvE if players are the problem.
It’s not a run and gun bunny hop game for twitchy teens with ADHD. I think some folks are wanting it to be something it’s not, and should return to whatever game they came from, where that kind of gameplay was encouraged and supported.
I think the main issue is that Enlisted itself doesn’t know what it wants to be. It’s no wonder players want it to be all sorts of different things. There are too many contradictions within its design. It may not be a “run and gun bunny hope game”, but it certainly looks that way often enough.
Well, I know what I don’t want it to be, and that is another Battlefield, Call of Duty, Heroes&Generals, or whatever other shite folks are trying to turn this game into. Why play this one when you want one of those instead?
Sounds like you’re also trying to turn Enlisted into something it’s not. By the same logic you should go to other games that already do what you want. Except that it’s not that simple. I think developers need to either pick a clear direction for their game or make two separate game modes.
I didn’t give any advice. Do you even comprehend the words and sentences are you just trying to outroast people?
This is not a serious game. It has some elements of that, but it also has other elements that could never exist in a serious game. It isn’t really dumb fast fun, but they clearly made some elements dumber and faster for no reason (without making them more convenient ironically).
Oh why am I even trying.
Nope, I like Enlisted. Sounds like you don’t. Follow your own advice I say.
er… if you are playing on invasion, or capture the sectors, it’s obvius that one team has to camp because it’s the objective.
yes? that’s the main point of defending? isn’t it?
i don’t know about you, but considering that when i’m in a tank, and i don’t get alot of support from infantry, plus the additional mechanical slowness of my tank, it’s obvious that i’m not gonna charge with it like it’s some sort of tiger.
i get that, but there’s a difference between being cautious and just staying on top of a cliff the entire match without helping your team in any way.
Not true at all, i normally try to rush to enemy position to clear them out instead of waiting at the point with an mg
Problem is, that some people seem to have exactly that expectation (players jumping around in the open, rushing with tanks into enemy lines etc, create fast chaotic gameplay that have nothing to do with what Enlisted was trying to be since the very beginning (and it needs to be admitted, that it failed miserably in Moscow)… and then people who play their classes properly are the bad ones lol.
“Properly” there’s no proper way of using a unit, you like to shoot from distances with sniper ok cool, you like to be close to the enemy and play aggressively with the sniper? thats ok too. You saying there only is a proper way of playing a unit is dumb as fuck
i don’t think that’s the case.
just a bounch of updates ago, our characters were slow as hell.
remember the flametrooper or mg gunner that needed to waste their stamina bar twice and a half just to get to the objective in MOSCOW?
i have a strange feelings that even the devs don’t know what to do with their game.
( i hope to be proven wrong )
i feel like the game work right now as a mix of realism (fast ttk, tank controls, damage models…) and arcade (movement system, shooting system…).
Good luck playing effectively as a sniper on close range…unless you want to use your pistol, but even then you are wasting potential of the said class.
And yes there are ways of how each class is played properly.
And next great example are tanks: tanks are used to support infantry while using them as cover against enemy infantry… they were not made to fulfil Rambo style of a crazed medieval cavalryman which is what we are seeing.
Each class have its own strengths and weaknesses or purpose, it is not our fault that people are failing to utilize them and then call bs on somebody who manages to do that.
well, i’ll have you know,
i find the sniper type 2 refreashing, because they get semi auto rifle with scopes, a real relief.
it adss more choises for your gameplay.
i do, its not difficult at all, its easy to do quickscopes and get more kills than normal riflemans
I think this game, draw alot from red orchestra , but i need more of the “stable battle line” is not about camping , more like , to have a Front line , that advance or retreat , right now is very COD style , where everyone is running around , with no sense of strategy at all. tbh the current maps , at least in Moscow campaign are very inclined to the running around gameplay.
