at this point gun play has become 50% luck 50% skill.
even if you fire gun with perfectly aimed, it has chance to miss the shot because of the bullet spread.
more annoying thing is even the first shot have bullet spread.
enlisted have very short ttk and btk, so if you missed the first few shots with random spread you could get killed by enemy.
i experienced this ‘skill issue’ with bullet spread when i fired, got missed by spread, and enemy just one shot me. not for once but many times after patch.
i know they want to give some advantage to bolt-action rifle since they were useless if you unlock semi-auto, but adding this kinda bullet spread is not ok for the game.
Well I totally agree with that bullet spread thinghy,
But there was a bullet spreat before though.
I rather would say “roll back” the spread to normal like before.
Also especially about the first shot, Its ridiculous to have spread at the god damn start of the shot. They gotta roll back it to before to when they add a spread.
i aimed at red dot on head and bullets goes like this.
i fired from spawn location at practice session
This provides a very disgusting and faking experience. please rollback
Rng bullet spread like this has no place in fps. I never had a problem with bolt actions, still mostly use them.
Of course I’m reacting to what I’m seeing here, haven’t tried the weapons yet.
This patch made a long-distance battle into a random game like xcom, not fps.
And this spread happens, when u have the perk, -25% spread etc?, just asking.
Yup.
not trying to be a pain, only learning myself, what about the holding breath, perk, and was he using, the button to hold his breath also?, when he got that result.
it would make sense for the m1 carbine to have this mush spread seeing as it fire what was basically a rilfe sized 9mm round
Yea, i would say the bullet spread is a bit silly. First shot spread should happen occasionally, not with almost every first shot, and semi auto should have almost NO SPREAD as it is controlled fire.
The way that spread is supposed to work is the FASTER you fire the more inaccurate your fire should be. And that makes sense. This kind of spread MIGHT be ok for semi auto fire that is rapid, but not controlled.
They should adjust the spread to be based on time between weapon discharge. Something like less than 4 seconds between shots begins to cause bullet spread. As it is now it is almost comedic.
Totally Agree. Bullet spread makes automatic weapons shitty.
At least devs should copy Battlefield 1 way: every first shots go directly.
The developers don’t like the possibility of a bullet hitting the enemy.
More deaths due to the accidental "I definitely shot right at him and didn’t hit him.
The game plays you, not you in the game
I totally agree with you. Guns are not sprays. Random spreads should be reduced or eliminated.
I wish they added some physics to weapons instead of a random generator. So if you turn with a heavy gun, it feels heavy and is slow to settle on the new target with visible control issues (turning too much then back), if you run with it it wobbles visibly and not just sprays around. And thus if you are good at compensating all these random but visible effects, you’re better at using LMGs.
For those who ever shot with SMG/LMG in reality: are they precise when used in single shot mode or is this first shot spread based on reality? For example I was quite happy with the Madsen single shot one hit kill mode, but now it feels crap and I don’t suppose they’d still use a pre-WWI weapon in 21st century if it is crap to aim with.
This change is just dog shit, plain and simple. Not to mention the bullet dispersion change for LMG’s. Slowly losing interest in this game with these weird changes, especially when there are better alternatives to downright nerfing stuff.
Ironically, that is how real guns do work a lot of the time. Where your first ‘cold’ shot varies from all subsequent follow up shots. Not to say they go sideways, but its a real life mechanic.
So it’s not just some random nonsense, but something that may happen in reality. Much easier to accept if it’s so.
Do you have some idea how slowly does it cool down, after what amount of time is a shot considered “first shot” again?
I think your shooting skills are not good or you’ve never really shot a gun before
Guns and bullets belong to the macroscopic world and follow laws of physics, not quantum mechanics
If you aim at the same place, bullets basically fly to similar places
I also don’t think bullets should always penetrate the same point, but the current method is excessive, unrealistic, and does not provide a good experience.
