@Keofox Can you tell us what is the reason for this weakening?
Now my semi-automatic rifle can’t compete with submachine guns at close range, and because the AI’s response is so fast now, I can’t even use the semi-automatic rifle to empty a room. This makes the ZH29 of the German Army in Moscow look extremely worse than the AVS36 of the Soviet Army, worse than ever in the past.
To add, semi-automatic rifles are obviously less competitive than rifles that can choose full-automatic shooting. Fully-automatic rifles can still shoot semi-automatically as fast as in the past, but semi-automatic rifles are not. This has further widened the gap between low-level players and high-level players.
Yes, so when the semi-automatic rifle faces the rifle that can select the fully automatic mode, it is like a bolt-action rifle facing an automatic weapon, which is difficult to contend.
Developers have repeatedly weakened automatic weapons in recent months, making the experience and balance of the game worse. Now is the era of fully automatic weapons. Semi-automatic rifles have also been reduced to bolt-action rifle-level weapons.
after this update they will divide the players using the levels, because I see no alternative to guarantee a minimum of playability for everyone, the more we go on and the more the gap between us CHADs with death squads armed with FG42 / M2 / AVT40 / M1 / PPSH41 / MP43 etc … against new players armed with nerfed weapons aka semi-automatic and bolt-action with a splash of smg
MB. Four days ago I start operation Typhoon on soviet side. Play only with mosins against guys with MkB’s, czech rifles, gew’s 41 - not problem at all. Now it will be easer. AFM, stock mosins are more accurate then stock mausers.
Moscow (and tunisia) is easy in this aspect mkb42h is ok not op bolt-action dominate for 23 level the smg are belanced (except the last one) semi-automatic are ok as in other campaigns and now more weak
Now normandy or berlin are full auto everywere no sense continue use lv 7 semi-automatic go full auto with avt40/M2/FG42 for figth full auto
Now i have all full automatic so i can say now the difference in firepower between me and casual/new player is too much
I can’t play on Normandy or Berlin anymore. On each side, because of week balance. Moscow not so bad (but soviets are boosted enough to have more chances to win), Tunisia is nice on italian side of gameplay. Allies stronger, and you may not fighting at all to win
Oh No, I cAn’T sPaM fIrE mY m1 CaRbInE, i CaN’t AdApT.
To be fair, I’m glad they changed this.
I’m probably the only one who likes this change
Honestly, if you think the AVS36 is OP. you clearly have never used it, You can’t aim for shit with it in full auto, the barn door at 20 paces is safe.
I disliked how the semi auto rifles could be beter than the full automatic guns, with their generally better accuracy.
It did need reworking, certainly in Tunisia where the M1 Carb was better at close range then most SMGs because of the insane fire rate if you had a triggerpad.
Because the carbines are smgs, doesn’t matter if it’s m1 or m2, they have less power than .45 when upgraded. But you might view it like that because the garand and g41 are far away from the carbines. Also remind that the Italian semi auto does one hit down
This. Then you need to stick to historical performance. I think so far, Enlisted does this pretty well.
One of the main reasons I stuck with Enlisted is because, war is unbalanced. A game simulating that war should also to an extent be unbalanced. If you’re going to advertise to a customer base and say “Do you want an experience MORE REALISTIC than Battlefield and Call of Duty? here, try this!”
Of course, you shouldn’t have it so unbalanced that it completely breaks the game. But I havn’t seen a Immersion breaking or game breaking patch yet. My main beef is with the AI still god they’re so stupid. So…so SO STUPID.
IMO, when they bumped up the accuracy of Semi Auto rifles, ALL semi auto rifles. I was kind of iffy on that. Some rifles, like the Soviet SVT-40, weren’t that accurate. That’s why the concept of a Sniper version of it never caught on. After a couple of shots, the accuracy fell off quickly. My SVT that I have in real life does this.
Also, the semi auto nerf may be to balance the accuracy update. If you’ve ever shot one of these rifles irl, they are difficult rifles to keep on target during rapid fire. Impossible to keep on target if you’re A: Running with it B: Standing with it C: Pulling the trigger as fast as you can.
