The reason I grinded through events was because of weapon gold orders, even when I didn't really feel like playing

The gold order system has been part of the game for ever now, people like it, it makes sense, it gives people a reason to play.

Removing it has no purpose, no benefit, no logic what so ever. Why not simply keep it?

forcing people into the premium battle pass, GO could be earned through events or random weekly draws, simply put removing good/fun weapons from the economy

enlisted only wants to be fun as it needs to be to get you to play more and pay more, it does not value fun but engagement.

i suppose the attempt as someone highlighted, was to incentivize people to try other nations.
while, keeping players as much as possible playing.

problem is, i’m not sure how efficient really is ( for the first part. ).

because if i, for example, were to be a new player, no chances i would switch all of a sudden with few weapons ( that for the most part, would over tier my games )

and at the same time, reduce the 100 gold “free” gold for people.

which it’s funny, because we went from 100, to 0, and now, only 50.

digital inflation with artificial scarcity really hits uh.

and now, even more “funnier”, gold order vehicles switched to skins.

so you don’t even get the vehicle fully upgraded, the sole purpose of those to begin with.

The 50 is actually better than the 100 when you think about it. The new format takes about a 3rd* of the time now … so in the time it took to get 100 … you will have 3-ish (its not exactly 3 its more like 2 and change) new format BPs for 150.

Not counting the loss of value from gold orders and that they will always release seasons in time.

or… we could have had the previous unchanged system.

because to be honest, i don’t see how sustainable this system is.

making 2 skins, 2 new soldiers and 1 weapon every 1/2 months?

how sustainable really is?

granted, the previous system had relatively slighlty more content, but it was a span across several months.

for me, it sets a more president for rushed stuff.
which i don’t personally like.

and also rushes people for more fomo.

effectively cutting out people like me who doesnt’ have much time to play lately.
or studends with no so much time on their hand. ( more the university kind ,but you get what i mean ).

is it really for the better?
i beg to differ.

( p.s. i don’t really have much problem giving my money, but lately, i am. with how badly managed this whole thing is. i honestly don’t see many benefits. most benefits are made for them. which fair enough, i can get one or two, but again, MOST, if not all, are for them. and not for you. )

Doubt. Dont think even the devs believe that people will play Soviets instead of Axis because of an reskinned PPSh.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I agree that the old system was better. I was just stating that the 50 gold here could be better than the 100 due to the length reduction.

I have less reason to get the battle pass now - No more gold orders, and only a gun that I dont need because of a nation I dont play.

The old system introduced 4 new guns per season you can get 4-6 copies of.

This means that to acquire every BP gun possible for that season, you’d need about 16-24 gold weapon orders, but the devs only offer you 1-2 gold weapon orders per season except for the occasional event.

They are permanently missable content. You’d have to choose which weapons are not only worth spending rare gold weapon orders on, but how much of that weapon you want.

This means that for every 2 seasons, you can only acquire about 4 copies of whatever BP gun you desired. The rest are unobtainable unless you pay up, or procure additional gold weapon orders by playing events.

I’d rather get new content as it comes. All of it. Choice doesn’t mean shit if it means you don’t get any new BP guns for multiple seasons at a time as you save up for something worthwhile. I want everything the devs are offering.

Indeed the new Battle Pass has significantly decreased the difference between paying players, however purely free to play players are worse off now.
I can easily understand this move, buying the battle pass really is the bare minimum someone who plans to play this game for significant time should spend on the game.

It’s all about money. Buying gold to get BP weapons makes DF money, giving away gold orders does not, and lord knows that DF has pretty much taken me to the cleaners when it comes to money.

I certainly feel that it is a way to indirectly funnel players into a certain faction that needs more players, but I’m not sure how that holds up with the apparent disparity between server locations
