The real solution would be to change the shield into a 10% damage reduction that doesn’t break and giving it slightly more recoil and dispersion than the standard version and then putting it into BR5.
That would be “okay”.

I think it would be a shame and missed opportunity to change the destructibility. It’s really interesting that you can actually destroy its shield. I like how interactive it is.
That’s why I proposed to even more support this interactivity:
If necessary, the dmg needed for shield destruction could be lowered. But I think this idea should be kept. It’s really unique.
Technically speaking is it a cool mechanic, but the devs simply need to finally add negative traits when they experiment with survivability mechanics.
Now NOT Technically speaking it is a ridiculous mechanic, there is a reason why no sane person would use this type of shield on a gun.
So for me it pretty much destroys immersion completely because it is as unrealistic as it gets.
If I remember correctly BF1 had a similar shield for the sniper class - which however was a deployable piece of cover, not literally something attached to a gun… the only game I can think of is rainbow six siege where they had a similar mechanic, and that shield was for most of its existence the most overpowered tool in the game.
No one needs such mechanic, it adds nothing to the game.
