Not sure if anyone else experiences it, but I get terrible lag in Myansera, especially in rain, so I have set them to disliked. I keep getting it and it keeps being in rain, of course. It’s not fun to play with 20 FPS-
20FPS???
Are you running the game on a potato?
J/k.
I get about 45 fps using a GTX 1650 on the 2nd lowest graphical preset.
Rest of the game is around 60fps.
fixes glasses
Akshually, I’m playing on the cloud. XD
It wasn’t like this, at least on my end, before the Forest Shadow update.
I used to be able to get around 60fps on Myansera previously, but now I’m lucky to top out at 50fps after the latest update. Can’t wait until bare minimum gives me 30fps max.
you could get a 1070 for like 80 bucks It might give you some extra frames
I did see a 2080 ti for $500, which is cheaper than the RTX 4060 where I live. Plus, it had been fully refurbished and everything like that.
But my friend might be upgrading from his RTX 3060 soon and I’ll probably offer him some money for that instead. It’s only the 8GB card, but it’ll be 10x better than my laptop. I’m not after too much - only something to give me 60fps or more at max settings on 1080p.
try checking ebay out because I saw Linus tech tips talking about finding multiple 2080s around 300 bucks but if you can’t parts from your friends for cheaper that would be nice of them since youll know it works fine
I live in Australia, so my dollar value is lower - I imagine A$500 of my currency is around US$300 anyway, perhaps slightly more. I’m not holding my breath for my friend, since he’s been saying for 2 years that he wants to upgrade but nothing’s happened.
I guess I’ll just see what happens next year. He was actually going to offer me his old RX 480 for free, but the card broke sometime, and he can’t get it to work.
I have all Myansera maps liked, sorry to be dragging people into it. Fair’s fair though, because I keep getting dragged into conquest maps, at the same frequency as before mind you (don’t notice a increase in Myansera maps either for that matter).
I don’t think the system works or at least not well, just something there for the player to click on and something so that the devs can pretend they’ve actually done something about it.
I’m not an expert on computers in any way, but this is what mine says. I bought this one on sale a couple years ago when my old 2012 HP Compaq graphics card was damaged in a thunderstorm. I used to have to play Enlisted on my old computer with all the settings on low, but with my new one everything is set to Ultra and as far as I know I am getting 60 fps pretty much all the time. I paid a grand for this in Central Florida I think in March of 2023, and it was on sale from $1,599 if I remember correct.
I can’t remember the computer brand and I’m too lazy to pull it out and check the back. I just know it plays every game I want in ultra mode with no problems. I didn’t want to spend the money to buy this one, but to be honest, my old 2012 computer was not worth fixing and it was limited to how fast I could make it anyway, so it was time.
I envy the GPU and especially SSD. My laptop only holds 480 GB, which is especially rough when I have RDR2 installed since it takes up over 120GB. It takes 5.5 - 6.5 hours to download as well, meaning if I made a mistake it’s all that time wasted too.
I use it for work too, so all that stuff takes up extra space too, leaving me with only 3 games including RDR2 when it’s installed. I could buy an external SSD, but I’m too lazy.
So when I build my next computer, it’ll have 1-2TB of storage and a 6-8GB video card (possibly a GTX 1660 Ti or a RTX 3060). That should hold strong for a few years. Plus, it should be fairly economical, and it will be my dedicated leisure PC.
That way I can keep most games on my PC without having to swap and change them.
I added two storage back up to my computer, so I transfer as much as I can to those. All my pictures ect., movies I’ve recorded ect all get stored there. I’ve had to uninstall well over half my Steam games otherwise I run out of memory. The computer was a grand and the two additional storage drives I think ran me somewhere around $80 total. I still have my old computer and gave it to my girlfriend. It used to be my business computer and was very good back in 2012, but once I got to about 2020 it was struggling to play some games. My Sniper Elite 4 on some levels when I would run from one point to another I had to look almost straight down as I ran otherwise it would jerk.
does it run hot on ultra? I have a bit newer graphic card and it was getting a bit hot so I turned it down to medium to keep everything cooled down I just dont want to go through the hassle of replacing thermal paste every couple of years due to it drying out
Not sure, I don’t think so, but my leg gets warm because of the glass side of the computer. I have never seen high temp numbers, but then again, I don’t check that often either. I guess I should. I’ve just checked, 95C has been the max, so it is running somewhat hot. I guess I will turn my settings down.
lol yeah thats hot
this has nothing to do with settings as both CPU and GPU should have temperatures way below this even with stock coolers. is this CPU temps or GPU temps? either way it probably warrants cleaning and changing thermal paste. also this could be cause you have no airflow in your case or your CPU has bad contact with cooler.
also dropping settings wont help with temperatures cause it will go from e.g. 100fps on ultra settings to 200 fps on medium settings. dropping settings would only help if you set limit on fps.
Well, the app I have on my computer says 95 C was the max, but I wonder if that is the max since the app has been on the computer as when I turned my computer on today it still says 95 max, but 54 C at the moment. I need one that reads all the time like my old computer did. I could see it in the upper corner when I played.
