The gameplay itself is good, no doubt
Man âŚthe responses of some people here, absolute consumers.
We got to such place where people accept that paying continuously to have fun is a must.
Clearly game is made in such way for free to play players to have rough time ranking up, to frustrate you enough into paying.
That shouldât be the case, whoever thinks that this is normal is âŚno offense a moron.
If you pay for any other indie developerâs game, youâre not expected to pay for progression.
But somehow for enlisted people have perfectly accepted the whole scheme of renting fun and shaming those who cant afford to put some cash to it.
I have premium and two premium squads, but i absolutely agree that progression for f2p players is terrible. Gameplay wise game has potential but the grind is terrible
Good thing however is that developers are planning different progression in future so that would perhaps help to smoothen things up
my guy, it is a skill issue, i started this game on U.S Normandy with nothing but a Springfield 1903 Rifle, I crawled out of the landing craft headshotting every single german on a MG until i made it to my first sherman, then i blew them all away with H.E i now have M2s with nearly every squad, the only problem i had was the german tiger, so i went and spent $$$ on the British Firefly, just so those hill camping asleep at the controls figure out, they cant shoot down at the beach and continue their point and click game.
Its a You Problem.
Well, unfortunately, snail games are like that. Premium vehicles and units do not give an advantage at all because they require specific use.
Want to level up fast? Invest in premium.
And if you donât want to buy premium, I recommend buying at least one slot per campaign. Why so? This allows you to have, depending on the combination of 3 infantry, two vehicles, or four infantry and one vehicle. You then have more flexibility to react.
And if you donât want to invest in that either, I recommend having an engineer and a radio operator in each infantry unit. It also allows you to play more flexibly.
This is not a charitable game. It is a for profit product.
Tons of F2P players are already ruined Paid playerâs experience. Dev tried Stalingrad to make progression speed as a regular game. But you still didnt accept it (vote with your wallet)
Now, even paid players, spending 30USD for campaign access pack still suffers mobile cash grab level of grinding. WTF
I leveled all campaigns/all sides without premium time months ago.
Just play alot + do well or donât + pay.
they were never 50 usd but 30, i managed to get pacific for about 22usd during last sale
Good for you âŚexcept thatâs not the case for dozens of many new players
In the end jokeâs on you, youâve proven the point of this topic. You had to spend money in order to counter the balance of the vehicle thatâs a late campaign one
If you had to buy a premium vehicle to be a good match for a late campaign vehicle, then YOU have skill issue since you couldnt beat it without spending money. Therefore proving the point of this topic.
Itâs been proven time and time again, monetizing a grind for gameplay content does not work anymore.
You forgot to tell Gaijin, whoâs somehow been successfully doing that with WT for the last decadeâŚ
3 Types of average Enlistedâs player replies:
1 - Skill issue
2 - i was a big ass rambo and i shredded everyone and now i unlocked everything for free and i didnt sleep day or night i kept playing i drank my piss instead of water to keep playing keep grinding fam or stay losin
3 - stop whining buy premium
WT is a niche game. Only other relevant competitor is WoT, and even then, theyâre vastly different games
Funny how Enlisted with the same model of monetizing a grind, but also has tons of more competition, isnât doing so hot.
Wonder whyâŚ
Donât get me wrong, I do hope youâre right, but my experience with Gaijin tells me they are NOT going to change their methods until they smash their face against a wall.
With playerbase like this âŚi dont think this will happen any time soon
This is the type of playerbase that in regards to premium and premium squads rather prefers to rent out certain perks that give advantage over other players âŚand God forbid someone is not able to afford it or doesnât have time to play as much
This is the kind of way that people have accepted.
Enlistedâs playerbase is something else âŚ
Beggars cant be choosers. They gotta make money to keep developing the game.
The fact that you can get nearly all of the cool stuff without paying a cent means you really have nothing to complain about.
Try crossout if you think this lot is bad. Great game, great concept. Some of the best fun I had just building a vehicle. And then you see just how gouging the system is and how invested, literally and figuratively most long term players and especially âalphaâ clans are. Itâs not p2w, itâs pay to stay remotely competitive or be squashed like a bug come every new season.
Another consumerist view
Weâre discussing videogame not realestate or car market, get your head out of the sand
Other games that are AAA or indiegames cost from 10⏠to the price of 1 premium squad in Enlisted have constantly content pushed out for few years without making difference to the gameâs overall balance system
In order to buy off every possible premium thing Enlisted has, youâd need about 350âŹ
I do agree that devs need to make money on a free game, but my point is that âbeggars cant be choosersâ shouldnt work on a game thatâs advertised as free to play and then bully you into paying because you cant progress as fast as others
If beggars cant be choosers than any person who doesnt play to pay cent for this game should leave, and then people like you would keep on playing with bots and then cry about why they spent their money while playerbase is low.
Ohh boy, this playerbase is worse than i thought.
Beggars cant be choosers âŚlike weâre discussing a job lmao
you are discussing someoneâs job. The developers.
how much work do you hand out for nothing in your profession?
I donât know if you have noticed but AAA games these days release in pretty much beta or alpha State (or just reskinned sequel) and charge you full price, then take years to actually fix the game or include what was promised. Then they dump support to the game to work on the next one to sell. They are just out to make a quick buck off the name of the franchise.
You have choices, you donât have to pay a cent, you donât have to feel bullied, you donât have to be entitled, you donât have to play.
If it offends your delicate sensibility so much, move on and find something that does accommodates your needs.
And donât make the mistake of thinking Iâm defending High cost premiums, I too wouldnât buy most of them because there is no reason to (plenty of cool and better stuff in tech tree)âŚsomeone else however might like themâŚwhich just benefits me. .
However I got no problem buying premium account (especially with their specials, which I believe will happen shortly) for something that has given me so much enjoyable recreation time over multiple years, and will do for years to come
I agree with most of what you said, but said devs and any business in general, should keep in mind the proverbial sheep - the one you can shear many times but skin only once. Unfortunately it is what it is, and Iâm sure we can all agree on that gaijin is greedy as all hell.
Sure, I certainly donât disagree with that.
