The current state of the game - bots and cheaters

Enlisted has entered the open beta like 3 months ago and it already struggles with problems most free to play shooters do - it’s bloody full of cheaters. Every third match I encounter some guy with a Breda or Mg42, who oneshots my entire squad from some random position 100m away. I’ve played the game enough to be able to tell a good player from a cheater, and even the best players don’t shoot a single bullet from their mg42 because it’s basically impossible with its rate of fire. This game need a solid anticheat fast, or it’s going to die in shorter than a year - why not use the WT anticheat? There are significantly less cheaters in war thunder than in enlisted, probably to some extent due to the anticheat.
The second symptom that the game is already in a very bad shape is the amount of bots. As previously said, I’ve played the game enough to distinguish an even extremely stupid player from a bot - a bad player would never rush a Jumbo with his whole squad without even throwing a single TNT pack. The bots seem to have gotten an upgrade, before their K/D was like 0.25, now it’s closer to what an actual player may achieve - something from 3 to 4 kills per death of a squad, so now the only way to say if the player is a bot is to observe his behaviour on the battlefield, and it’s still obvious when you see a bot.
I don’t think there is anything that we, as a playerbase, can do about those issues, the only way to force gaijin into adressing them is maybe not to buy stuff for enlisted (which I doubt people do anyways because of its ridiculous prices).
To me it seems like the game that wanted to be the better Battlefield V is dying faster than battlefield itself.
I’m curious on your observations on bots and cheaters, what is your experience? A friend of mine for example is still convinced that the teams are full of dumb players (which I’m not denying ofc) and these are not bots.

Every 3rd game or so I find some squad of AI standing around like the morons they are and wipe them out with a SMG or MG from 100m - sometimes even with a bolt action rifle…

Well there’s a statement by someone who has no idea what he’s talking about…

Bots ok, I agree in every match, like 3/10 or maybe more, are bots.

But not with cheaters. I’m playing since november and I think, I havent seen any. Those what you say are killing you with an MG so far, are the bots in a player squad. they watch you and use their gun (probably a player’s MG squad)
your bots, you or someone in your direction shoot him, the boot with an MG turns and shoot killing you. but this is not a cheater, is a bot of a player squad

Same, I think I am reaching the 1000hrs played and still have not seen a cheater. Not saying they are not there but cant say it is a problem at all.

My son and his squad attacked a Pz IV with a knife after finishing off a scarecrow and a beehive, and giving up on a Czech hedgehog. Never underestimate players.

I thought there where a lot of bots as well, untill they started talking. I always thought the guys with 10 kills and 21 deaths where the bots auto running into mg fire. I was amazed when a few games in a row those people where the only ones talking back when I typed something. Threw my bot suspicions out of the window.

Well, no. ONLY a player would have that behaviour. Bots would instantly start chugging tnt in one after another.

Players came to the forum a few months ago complaining that tnt was bad and nevet blows yp tanks so they where not going to use it. After playing 3 months some have learned but I bet you that there is a score of them cant cook a grenade so they dont bring tnt.

Bots should be more powerful like have 9 people in their squad. They are just too easy to be wiped out by real players

  1. in this case I would say that the fault is yours. Learn: if you run straight towards the goal 9 times out of 10 you die before you get there ever thought of taking the long way to get around the enemies?
  2. even the first few times I thought that the lmg guys were cheaters now that I use it too (one in a squad) I have learned to live with the killstreaks
  3. they have the same lousy anti cheath war thunder and enlisted
  4. bots in every game are stupid this is a novelty (even if the one in enlisted are really stupid)

Not all players have high kill-death ratio. All bots act the same and there’s a good number of them.

At first I thought there are only bad players here, simply because I didn’t expect developers to do something so stupid and damaging. Even made a “you’re underestimating how bad players can be” comment in one of the threads.

And then I saw swarms of exactly the same radiomen, all armed with G41 rifles that weren’t yet available to players at the time, running along the same easily noticable lines, bunching up in the same spots. Made me feel like a damn fool.

Bots aren’t as obvious anymore (especially in squads where it’s so easy to just assume the player is elsewhere), but they are still there and freely mixing them with players is still stupid and damaging for the game. The two are not mutually replaceable.

P.S. Cheaters - I’ve never seen obvious ones. But then again, it’s easy for me to dismiss all abnormal behavior as bots doing their thing. For example, bots sniping at very long range through bushes was very prominent for some time. And then it was fixed.

And then they would be killed just as easily and eat up even more tickets from actual players?

My best bet is that bots should take into consideration the level of the opponent. Someone with >100 kills on average is likely with good reaction time, so be quick and deadly. Someone with <0.5 K/D ratio is a newbie, be gentle and patient. When both are in the same spot, attack the better player first.

I’ve seen one obvious case of cheating in my whole time playing this game. A few times I’ve been suspicious, but in fairness, those could be bots - they sometimes land shots that don’t make any sense.
95% of the times they act like my permanently confused demented uncle, but every now and then they just Clint Eastwood the crap out of some poor guy.

Cheats are like Rule 34. If there’s a game, there’s a cheat.

Also Easy Anti-Cheat while popular is far from being the best anti-cheat.

There’s most likely pilots who can see highlighted enemies on the ground, automatics weapons without recoil, aimbot,…

When i get killed in a suspicious way i just tell myself it’s an actual bot. Or why not a skilled player

I haven’t seen anyone running at 100 km/h, flying, not dying or building 50 AA guns in 1 click but after all, if you cheat you better not be obvious about it. Maybe we have smart cheaters compared to CoD or CS:GO

Here are 2-3 Players which i meeted. Which use a Aimbot / Wallhack or whatever.
Like you are Miles away and they Headshot kill a Pilot. Or they shoot through Objects.

And Easy Anti Cheat is a bad Joke. Its used in 7 days to die to. And a lot Players hacked in this Game. So its not super safe Anti Cheat.

That’s actually not even necessary, all a pilot has to do is to fly towards an area where enemy presence is probable, estimate the approximate position by looking at tracers on the ground, and drop accordingly.
