Despite using the Kurztan, the MkB requires more than 3-4 hits to the body to kill the enemy, and the rate of fire is slower than the AVT.
However, the AVT has an excellent rate of fire of 660, and the damage is similar to that of a semi-automatic rifle, and can kill enemies with 1-2 shots.
I don’t understand people who say that AVT is disadvantageous because it has 15 rounds of magazine. 15 rounds can clear 1 squad. The MkB seems to have no meaning for magazines due to its slow rate of fire. When you start shooting, the ai will react and give you one kill with bolt action. The same goes for shooting from behind.
AVT is effective only in close combat on full auto, recoil doesnt allow it to be used fully automatic on medium and long range
while MKB is a lazer gun, it has very little recoil and can be used on full auto almost always plus it deals more damage than SMG and also has less recoil than a lot of SMG’s in the game
I think you are just using it wrong in the first video you shot a guy one time and didn’t kill him and then tried to shoot the other, of course you died
MKB is probably one of the best guns in the game, it doesn’t need further buffs, AVT is not overpowered by any means
Its just like comparing the AKM to the M14 or STG-44 to the FG42 when they are completely different in terms categories for rifles. You are comparing an assault rifle to a battle rifle there with the AVT-40 having a full powered rifle cartridge compared to the Mkb with an intermediate one.
AVT was tested and was shown to have awful accuracy (even less accurate than the PPSh) and the recoil was one the main reasons why the Soviets didnt allow their troops to use the gun in auto.
Yet the thing has stable auto recoil (with hidden recoil perk) and is more accurate than the Mkb.
I get it that it has more dmg but its supposed to be more inaccurate or at least should have more recoil. Rn recoil is worse but still too managable.
I know the recoil perk is a thing along with a fully upgraded one having reduced recoil. I never use any recoil perks myself but shooting the AVT-40 in full auto kicks hard which is a bitch on medium to long range but very lethal in close range.
I still scratch my head on why some people depend on recoil perks so much.
The avt has the accuracy of a semi-auto with better rof and recoil control than the BAR and a 2 second reload that involves karate chopping out the old mag.
It’s an absolute beast and controllable in small bursts to the primary engagement ranges in enlisted. Easily one of the best guns in the game
