Also, I can’t stand everyone looking like a clown and using weapons from wrong factions and timelines, especially not crouch sliding Japanese girls with gold-plated night vision M2 Carbine in Norwegian mountains.
They would have to refund a LOT of SL and gold for that one. I have many many squads with mines on each soldier. I know I’m not the only one. I only bought all those mines because they can go on each soldier. I would feel cheated if they got rid of 90% of the soldiers I bought all those mines for. I get what you are going for though.
Some people have trouble letting go. I can’t believe we are STILL listening to HA rants when this game is far more accurate then basically all arcade shooters. Sure games like HLL and Post Scriptum are more “accurate” but those games are aiming for a different demographic and are much less popular than arcade shooters.
I also think people are being a little too narrow minded. There is a touch of “alternate history” to all of these games. Tiger II in Tunisia? What if Germany defeated Russia in 1941 (it could have happened with a different focus of the offensive. Not likely, but possible) Tiger II’s in North Africa is a legit possibility. All of these maps work “accurately” with all of these weapons because if you run a simulation of World War 2 a million times all of them are possible. Isn’t that part of the fun? This game is still NOTHING like BF V. And it isn’t remotely heading in that direction. These changes are all still in keeping with the aesthetic and “accuracy” rules that have been set down of the years of the OBT.
Finally, I will reiterate, again, my map feedback.
I LOVE playing Tier II in Berlin. I only played one Tier V match in Tunisia and it was cool. But I haven’t gotten gray zone camped by a Tiger II or Pershing. Still I think this is a problem even at BR III. The answer, to me, is the same. Bomb them. A lot harder to hide from planes in Tunisia.
I disagree if you mean the start of OBT. But this is not the thread for that, will respond in private if you’re willing to discuss it. (No zombies, no Fedorovs, no 4x explosives per soldier, no continuous arty, no 5 bombers carpet bombing, no gray zone early on as far as I remember, but there were other issues much worse as well.)
While we jumped on the moon not even one year after the OBT release…
No, only Madsen machine guns the Soviets barely if ever used in WW2 or ZH rifles that were at best used by the Waffen SS (and certainly not in Moscow), M2 Carbines and FGs that were definitely not mass issued or British guns for American troops etc. or my favourite the M30 Drilling which was only issued to pilots in North Africa but could be used across three campaigns where two were not Africa and none of the users were pilots.
Totally different for sure…
Because I guess the grenade pouch never existed… oh wait… they existed since at least 2021. And the reason why explosion packs were nerfed was because people spammed them like crazy,
Dude, back in the old days everyone could call artillery at the same with the entire map being covered in red circles…
Those useless bombers only morons call and block team artillery for several minutes? Most broken shit ever.
Major changes were the initial spawn protection timer.
I have been trying out the new map situation as well, the problem is that the test is too short, it takes around a month I’d say for experienced players to adjust completely to the rhythm of these maps at new battle ratings. Once the majority of the player base is acclimated, I don’t think there will be much of an issue, except for maybe Tunisia, though I wasn’t experiencing difficulty.
I definitely disagree with you on the direction the game is going. War Thunder started as a serious experience, it now releases anime body pillows for tanks, the same fate will almost certainly befall Enlisted, the same people are in charge and seem to be at this point adopting a similar approach to their other titles.
If Dark Flow releases a serious form of map selection, meeting people like me halfway, I’d find all of this somewhat more tolerable. The nonsense might be occurring but at least I could pretend it isn’t. A realism mode down the line would be even better, but they have never answered requests for such a mode, so far as I know.
I mean, they’ve had really inaccurate decals forever. Granted you can select semi-historical and block it, but you could still make pink R3s for forever with historical decals. Nothing is ever going to be perfect. People will make dicks with an 8 and 0 no matter what you do. I guess my bar is lower than yours. (I do historical decals in historical patterns on all my vehicles as an FYI. I like the “realism” too.) But it’s a game. And the veneer of accuracy in both games is as good as I expect it to be in the world we live in.
Imo, just allowing players to play any map regardless of BR won’t turn Enlisted into fortnine/Vanguard/BF5. The current BR system isn’t Historically Accurate at all, we have D-day on BR I and most of the weapons in game weren’t really used that much (especially for Japan). Enlisted is a game, and there are compromises for being a game, this one (All maps for all BRs) is one of them.
The game isn’t going back to the campain sytem, but that doesn’t mean it will become Fortinite. Imo, most of these complains can be resolved with map picking for each BR. This way everyone can play however they want.
What we should do though, as HA defenders/enjoyers is fight to keep the setting. Anime isn’t ww2, Potman isn’t ww2, that’s what we shoud be agains’t and that’s what I belive people are the most worried about. We should fight for THESE things to not be in the game.
I too would hate to see undead, fire eyes, anime, dragon skins in the game, or a sawed off PPSH41 with a scope, but if this was to happen in the future (I don’t think it will), it would certainly be because people buy them, or some other reason, not because of this (all maps for all BRs) or the merge.
Seeing jets in Stalingrad is terrible, I agree, that’s why we should also fight for map picking (preferably picking maps for each individual BR) as soon as this update comes out, so we can play according to history, while others can have their fun as well.
I agree that with this BR change Enlisted will not be instantly doomed, but will alienate another important if small part of the playerbase, unless a preferred BR/preferred battles/preferred historical atmosphere setting is also released that prevents us from an unwelcome “Japanese vs. French guerrillas fighting in Berlin” scene this could deteriorate to in 3 years.
Mad Hans Führer Road in gas mask and a sleeveless shirt running around with PPSh obrez alongside Volkssturm guerillas in fedoras and fur hats in Tunisia, as Pz IV J “Zombie” with Reindeer decal is rolling through to face Sherman “Zombie” with Halloween Devil decal, while Chinese troops are defending it alongside Free French partisans, as Ersatz M10 Panther appears in the desert only to be bombed by F80 Shooting Star.
This is already enough to give anyone remotely interested in WW2 a brain aneurysm.
I understand. The reason why the Soviet Union couldn’t defeat Germany in the early days was because the IS-2 tank in 1944 couldn’t compete with the mass-produced Tiger H tank. The German defeat in North Africa was due to the Me 262 not being able to compete with the Allied Meteor jet fighters LOL
Very, very good! Nice JOBS! My squad play all BR IV. We all really missed the maps from low BR. Please leave it permanently. I just want to balance the connection to the game so that the battles are more balanced, it often happens that we crush the opponent in a few minutes or, on the contrary, we get a solid and fast loading. Great work! Thanks.
In the context of unlinking maps from BRs, I wanted to know the answer to the question - how will the so-called “soft rule of historicity” work in the new map selection and will it work at all?
I already asked this question in a separate thread and suggested ways to improve the soft rule, but there was no answer.
Hard to say. I observed this topic for few days. The likes are roughly equal.
Most of the complaints underneath and their likes are from those who like the hell no post.
Similar case for the one who like the change.
So I will say the reviews are mixed instead of overwhelmingly negative.
I think thats a fair assessment, I mean I for one aint happy with it, but would be fine meeting in the middle somewhere, and frankly I think that middle would appear perfectly as long as we get a very good map selection mechanic, not a shitty WT, but one like in TF2 or other such games, where you can pick the exact gamemode and map you want, you just have to wait longer if you narrow your criteria too much.
Ok played a few more games, if I can select BR4 preset and chose Tunisia I will be happy, to avoid the BRV stuff coming in, maybe a new soft rule if KT2 go elsewhere if enough players for other match…
As for map preference, it needs to be more than one map ideally, it needs to be multiple or campaign exclusion wide (so all maps), if we get two exclusions, and there is a conquest, bomb and confrontation that’s not going to work.
Map preference is done by campaign would satisfy HA enthusiasts and also allow people to play what they wanted ie Pre Merge, but this time with a little choice and presets to consider
