Testing expanded BR for maps

100% this is going to happpen:

“Some people on the forum were not so happy about open spaces of Moscow and Tunisia, but don’t worry we will edit those maps, and our Reddit/Twitter/TikTok/Grindr users loved these changes :3”

like wtf NO the problem is not gameplay, it’s T-28 fighting against AB 41 in Berlin

So I said at the beginning that this was not a test, just a notification, and MajorMcDonalds still tried to explain it to me :face_exhaling:

I feel the same way

Devs take note. The problem is in fact not the gameplay, said from someone who has taken major offense from this change. The maps work fine in any BR.

million YES, Tunisia is the best map.

I can confirm that these changes have no effect on developers’ “motivations” to make new maps. Developers understand that we all want new maps as much as possible.

I also think it’s realistic to assume that, as the map pool grows, there are generally more options for what can be done with map pools at different BRs.

Regardless, @all - thank you for your feedback. Developers are paying close attention to the thoughts already posted here and on other social media, as well as through in-game statistics and the results of the testing.

I hope so, Major, what else can I do? It’s hard to watch the game get destroyed. My favorite game…

This change is overwhelmingly negatively viewed by most players - which means this test was a success.

I been wondering, since warthunder “doesn’t really” have set maps for BRs I think, is this maybe an attempt at mimicking Warthunder?

Will we be seeing 1 or multiple new map/campaign added this year? Why not update Battle of Berlin and Battle of Tunisia to accommodate for new battle ratings that they were opened to before doing these kinds of test. Yes I can see thats what the test is for but knowing the tools being used for certain BR the maps could of been prepared for it instead of just sending it out like this.

Based on what? The Forums are not really indicative of overall community sentiment. You tend to get zealots in any forum.

Not really, while 70% of this very forum viewing it as negative i don’t see such strong negative reaction on steam forum (50/50%), youtube (mostly positive) , reddit (mostly positive), discord or just in game.

You should remember that this forum is not even 1% of the Enlisted players, we are just a very vocal minority.

I also don’t see any player drop off on Steam Charts so people are fine with playing on those maps at higher/lower BR, and just want new changes and reworks to those maps not a complete removal and going back.

they’re 2 events going on so only the devs would know the number of players playing the maps

Well I still need to finish my Victory Day/African Campaign assignment, even if I need to quit 10 matches in a row first.

I still cound as an “active player”.

Doesn’t meant I have any interest in this Fortnitelisted: Vanguard V.

Also, “most players” are probably ‘casual’ and have no idea when the battle of Stalingrad happened or what’s the difference between Pz IV F1 and Pz IV F2 – doesn’t mean we need to strive to be ignorant like them though.

That’s not true, it actually does.

But it doesn’t have faction based maps (for obvious reasons, since teams are made up of several random factions)

But at least the BR III Tunisia match went all good yesterday?

I think you were in the Br2-3 one where our team mega steamrolled? Yeah that was fast

yup, couldnt keep up with the team honestly

There are not 1, but 2 events going on, and “being active” on this context doesn’t give devs any relevant info. Other data like desertion rates, match results, etc. do give relevant information that can be analized.

Who cares? It’s a game… not history class.

People who came to this game for WW2 vibe, not Fortlisted: Vanguard V, we already have those types of games in abundance
