Teaching the AI how to handle heavy weapons

I am kinda sad it wasn’t released today. Cuz I am extremely hyped. Can’t wait.

But whatever, at least I can in preparation grind more reserve exps for Japan.

YEEEESSSS, we need more AI doing stuff!

I really hope they will teach AI how to take cover behind objects between them and the enemy (captured objectives or expected area). This would really add to the AI’s abilities. Maybe even some animations randomly shooting/blind firing from cover inaccurately / throwing grenades?

Like add some code for AI taking cover behind various objects in game. House windows, corners of buildings, blown up tanks tied to the map, objective areas, etc on top of generally taking cover behind things which are in between the enemy and them.

It would be a bit of work, but it would make the battles SO much more immersive. This is probably the main issue with AI, they often stand in the middle of the road straight up like robots taking fire with no reaction.

Yeah, like a separate ordnance mark for human/AI motors would be very very nice.

It would be a nice touch to have a commander slot available for a human/AI in battles, similar to Hell Let Lose / Squad / Rising Storm.

This commander could have certain abilities like speeding up respawns, calling in bomb strikes, heavy artillery, maybe an additional couple squads of AI solders, etc. This could even be a unique squad in its self, like a few body guards, commander radio man, and a more decorated squad commander.

It is also a good idea to fix the voice chat in game. It could be similar to Rising Storm 2 where voice is not used widely, but is easy to use if you need to talk to the team.

Yes I think that would be awesome! We could hold down our command button, send them to stay put and hit (deploy mirror/MGnest/AT gun etc) and then when you place a special marker, they will target the spot. Would be sick!

Is that an actual thing we can currently do in game? I can double tap X on Xbox and they will throw the pack at the tanks?

It works like that on PC i dunno about console binds better test it in practice mode by pressing buttons at random while looking at the enemy tank

Definitely! :+1:

if they can handle bazooka and mortars i am only waiting for tanks

Better not. Don’t want AI to keep a vehicle slot occupied.

yea ai is too stupid for a car or tank at the moment and if they get stuck in a hole then there is nothing to get them out of it (they could probably add that thing in warthunder where you can drag other tank in i guess)

Always happy to see the AI become more competent and lifelike so they are more useful.

It’s probably only for AI squads, BUT WE NEED THIS

Just the ability for the AI to shoot their mortars at a marked target on the minimap would turn a currently useless squad into a useful one again.

Please allow us to give mortar fire commands via the minimap to our own mortar troops.

if your teaching will have same quality like their basics … rather make some new textures cause its wate of time and energy

Yes, the new features are fascinating.
But you guys need to fix this bug first before implementing it.
A purchased cosmetic item has disappeared. // Gaijin.net // Issues
It has been two months since the bug you caused moved all the cosmetic items I bought and collected in Normandy to the Pacific Ocean, and you have ignored the problem.
You have rendered unusable the collection I had put together for Normandy with real money and customization tickets, you have ruined the entire collection I had gathered from 2022 to 2023, and still no compensation or fix. On the contrary, there is not even an announcement that you are working on the bug. I am deeply disappointed.
I think you people are underestimating your customers.
You should start working on fixing this bug now. You are not qualified to plan a steam launch when you have left so many bugs unaddressed.
