I wonder why…
Ironically you just proved my point, tanks take the advantageous position, if they wanted to greyzone camp to avoid AT rambos they could just sit behind the river.
Yes. They greyzone camp because they can overwatch everything without being touched. Which as I said before, DF needs to fix their maps to not allow.
and if that dont work use more plane (this is a reference and im not being serious)
it modified from tf2 engy video (wanted to clarify since i dont think people will get it)
My issue with this is when the plane slot is taken by some goober who doesn’t know how to bomb or brought their Br1 plane to Br5.
Also it doesn’t really fix anything, cuz another tank spawns and takes its place. I don’t want to spend my whole game babysitting the sky. Even if I bomb every tank, they’ll still get to shoot a few times between my rearms and decimate my team.

to be fair on the map allegator creek thats all tanks do…grey zone tank behind the river. im bringing that up because its the example gladiator used. that map has poor design where tanks dont have to move from start of game till the last point or two. so didnt you just prove that tanks do indeed grey zone camp because they want too? im not going to sit here and argue for hours on end just wanted to throw in my two cents about this.
Let’s not forget Tenaru River either. They go up in that hill way in the grey zone and can HE sling at the first two points unmolested. God help the Japanese if it’s a Jumbo.
In all honestly every pacific map has crazy abusable grey zones.
Enlisted is a multiplayer game and victory is a team effort.
10 players (10 squads of assaulters) will not stop a tank with cannon pointed at objective.
But 9 idiots + a player in a plane have better chance to do that.
Assuming that “you will lose a match” because you are the only player playing objective is a exaggeration.
thats why i would like to see pacific maps reworked before most other maps personally. but maybe im bias since its my most played campaign.
It’s really not an exaggeration. At most 2-3 teammates on average can be trusted to be somewhat competent. The rest is fodder that just dies. Me being in a plane is removing a competent player from holding objectives.
imo tanks have simply too much ammo on them, I saw battles where a tank didn’t move at all the whole battle. If they were forced to drive back every now and then things might be little bit better.
You can really tell who are the carry players vs the carried in these conversations
Too much HE specifically. Going to shamelessly steal and post this comment from /u/Culturalunit1:
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, reduce the ammo load of all tanks, especially those with larger cannons AND move the rearm outside of the grey zone.
So many tanks in this game have 40+ HE shells, which is ridiculous, and those are the ones everyone uses and complains about, because they can sit in one spot for a huge amount of time, lobbing HE, and never having to get more ammo. Most of these tanks simply die before ever having to refill, because their ammo load is basically bottomless. Those that don’t die don’t even have to retreat to the rearm to get their ammo either, as they just move forward with the point when it’s taken, so they have almost zero downtime.
If the ammo load was limited to something like 10 AP, 10 HE, and 3 smoke(where applicable), in combination with the rearm point being moved into the play area, the tanks would have to come out of safety to refill and/or limit their HE spam to conserve ammo, taking only the best shots instead of just firing off cooldown. It could also be a balancing lever, where weaker vehicles could receive slightly more ammo than more powerful tanks, so they can lurk in the back more safely for a little longer than their larger, more heavily armored brethren.
But somehow you cannot counter a vehicle in grey-zone ?
Why ?
I can counter them (I have 11 slots and always bring a plane or two), but that means I am not pushing the objective and sadly I cannot be in more than one place.
Tale as old as time: I get in plane to kill grey zone tank farming team, objective is lost because I was the only non-muppet who was making it to the point. Or if I am attacker then we simply don’t take the point while I am in the plane and I have to burn a spawn to get back on the ground (only for a new tank to spawn).
So you still do not understand that this is a multiplayer game
Im adding to ignored, bye.
If I am the only one playing objective on my team, it might as well be single player with bots like yourself.
I’m not saying all players do this intentionally. But there are those that know what they’re doing. Sure I’ll give the players that have no idea a bit of a break. But then that goes back to the point of DF to do something about it.
Same story even in BR I, with the Boys AT you cant do a thing about Pz IIIs … you cant even pen their sides & the Greyzone protect it from getting blow up by TNT.
