But for real, half of the problem is planes not doing their jobs so the rest of their team suffers for it while they hog a slot. Meanwhile they farm infantry kills and the infantry on both sides lose.
Not just for tanks, but that applies to bombers and mortars not being destroyed as well.
Itâs what I mean: if I can find a way, everyone can, and will. Itâs finding the best advantages possible, since itâs not a role play game, everyone do it.
Take bomber planes for example. All they do now is kamikaze bomb. Everyone do it⌠everyone. It IS an exploit of the game.
Itâs why I point out those that would exist IF such solution was implemented with the goal of preventing them.
NO! Tanks are already really weak if they are not just sitting out of reach camping. Their armor and damage models need a bit of fixing but they are not OP. They have really limited vision and unless you are running at them from the front you can just safely det.pack them with any soldier you have. Tanks are infantry support vehicles, without infantry they are just waiting to be blown up.
I disagree again. Trusting people not to exploit game mechanics is plain stupid, many games have lost most of their playerbase because of exploiters (because there WILL BE exploiters if there is an exploit)
So, nerf said OP premium tanks and we are fine. Not all tanks are created premium and as such, a blanket nerf would fix 1 issue creating 3 others. Iâm fine with nerfing OP things as long as itâs specific to that thing and not just a way to create a new, different problem. If you nerf all tanks because of 1 OP tank, you create 1 balanced tank and many underperforming tanks. Doesnât sound that much better to me. However gray zone camping is just annoying so Iâd love to see a viable counter to it (no, I do not consider planes viable when it comes to dealing with gray zone campers).
Honestly all the Devs would need to do to fix the tank and bomber problems is to buff the AT/AA guns.
If both the AT and AA had more ammo, more lethality, cheaper/easier/faster to build, and could be built by more than just the dedicated engineer squads I think tanks/planes would be way less of a problem.
No tank is gonna try and play a sniping game with AT that can actually kill it. (AT needs Buff)
Dive bombing or kamikaze planes will be dissuaded if AA had a better chance of shooting them down before hand. (AA needs Buff)
It would also be helpful if Buffed AT/AA came pre built on certain positions.
This of course all would involve the development team buffing AA and AT and accepting that tankers are gonna complain.
This is fine and accurately represents the real dangers tankers faced in this era. For a long time infantry, not enemy tanks, were the biggest threat to tankers.
Hell infantry should be able to stick SMGs and LMGs into the vision slits and kill the crew via ricochets.
Yâknow, because thatâs what happened when infantry were able to swarm a tank that was too dumb or unfortunate to not be supported by infantry.
Iâm still upset we canât huck grenades through the turret hatches.
I agree with this aswell. The armor and damage models only need fixing because sometimes thereâs absolutely 0 post-penetration damage as if you didnât even penetrate the tank (even though you 100% did) or when shooting any module in the tank 6-7 times even after it turned red still doesnât break it (canât reverse with a broken transmission, so it was red but not broken or just ammo that refuses to blow up).
Y E S! I remember the ending scene from CoD 1 when 2 guys climb a Tiger, open the hatch and 1 just starts blasting while the other throws a grenade in and closes the hatch.
Tank hatches only open from the inside so the only Vehicles you could reasonably kill in that way would be M10 and M8 which would make them even less useful for anyone. I can see that would be bad mechanic even more so for M8 commanders maybe not so much for M10 commanders.
Thanks for clarifying, that being said there shouldnât be any reason I canât stick a firearm into the viewing ports and hose down the interior with ricochets.
