It’s like I said, just select the vehicle, then go into “armour vision” then hover your mouse over the different parts. You will see how thick those are
Oh, I did! That was pretty helpful actually - I’d seen/looked at it before, but not really looked at it, if you know what I mean. But it’s pretty hard to get an idea of what the plates are doing vs. the armor behind it. On the IIIN it’s well and truly separated, if you know what I mean. What am I talking about, I can take a picture.
And the T28E - spotty, see?
Oh yes, the spaced armour on the 3N doesn’t really work… supposedly it protects against AT rifles but nothing much more. The spaced 20mm plate on the front of the hull, does.
As for the 28E, some areas are tricky to get info on. The turret for example. The reddish part is a rolled welded add on plate. But underneath, there’s more armour so you got to pixel hunt with your mouse to find the correct info.
But in short. For what it is, the 28E is a beast. So of course is the 3N. But I wouldn’t say 3N is THAT much superior to the 28E considering their roles, and the enemies they face. Both can one shot each others with ease. Both can explode infantry. 3N reloads faster, but 28E mows down anything with lmgs.
I enjoy both. 3N might be a bit better, but 28E isn’t far behind. (Normal t28 is to avoid however )
I agree with your assessment.
And, I credit you for introducing me to the 28E a few weeks ago, so thanks! I have enjoyed using it, but I have definitely learned some if it’s weaknesses - but like I mention earlier, it’s surprisingly quick for its size, but don’t expect it to move like a T50 (which is what I came from). I’m far more cautious when bringing it anywhere near enemy troops while in the 28E.
I’ve literally mowed Germans over in my T50, however. LOL.
I like using the t28 as some proverbial “Gandalf”.
You can say “You shall not pass!” To axis infantry, and they indeed won’t if you position your t28 in a good spot. It’s so dangerous when that happens that very often, the enemy team switch priority and start sending in Stukas, building AT guns or coming with their own armour just to take you out!
Personally, The T28 and T28E are my favorite tanks in the game. I love them. The triple machinegun shreds enemies more than the HE.
I dont know about the competition, but I never really had problems with it.
it is a unique and definetly fun tank to use
Experience will come over time, Ill just try and play around for now and learn as we go
Those MGs are bugged and do no damage but shake the enemies around. Gaijin needs to fix the MGs on the T-28E, currently MGs are useless
Yes, yes. And a quick reload? Good dynamics? T28 can only go fast straight. To turn, it practically stops. Unlike Panzer III N. T28e is a huge target. Why do you need 6 tankers if he dies with one shot lol.
You can lose crew members while doing repairs or fighting off AT infantry. It’s always good to have back up.
3.3 sec vs 5.0 sec, both are fast so I never really noticed a until I checked the stats. It’s also worth noting that T28E has more fragments which help with making quick work of infantry.
T28 is just there to slow u down
T28E has aphe with 67mm of pen
Why would you ever not aim for the turret?
If you can see an unangled 80mm front plate then it will be a rare case you can’t also see the turret.
While I agree that the Pz III N is the best tank at BR2, to think it should be upped to BR3 is just sipping dummy juice. It can’t do shit to KVs and I’m pretty sure it struggles against the T-34s as well.
Idk what you’re smoking but the T-28E is (surprisingly) very nimble, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dodged bombs and explosive packs from stand-still and came out unscathed.
Most tanks die in one shot, T-28E survives the first shot more often than not and has plenty crew to replace dead ones. Meanwhile, I can’t remember the last time a Pz III N didn’t go up in flames the moment one round touched its turret.
with more powerful cumulative projectiles. Is that normal?
No, it is not maneuverable, T3 is better.
I replied to this message
T-28E has 3 MGs and 6 crew, 60mm armour all around, but ammo placement is poor thus a clean penetration in the hull can blow it up.
I once survived 7 explosive packages on a Soviet flamethrower tank. What conclusions should I draw?
that you should have been burning anyone that got that close
God knows I did it, but they broke my engine. So I just stood there and took 5 more explosives. And only the sixth one destroyed my tank.
