I have not tested it in battle yet, but I have tested it in practice and it only has shrapnel and HE on offer. - The Shrapnel does jack sh1t to enemy tanks. I thought there was an APHE shell for the T28 or does it need research like War thunder??
Survivability is not great as the T-28 is visible from 9 kms away due to its size. Weak armour is also a big problem for this vehicle, enemies can destroy the T28 easily with explosion packs, mines and AT stuff.
So I have decided to stick with my T-50 for now. Is the T-28E any better than the normal T-28? Should I get it or just skip through and get the T-34?
I think the only problem that Soviet BR2 vehicles have, is that German BR1 - BR3 vehicles most have 50mm of armor. Panzer IIIJ is just as strong armored as STUG III F.
So a tanker will need to adapt and watch out for people who know how to angle their Panzers.
Indeed - I however have 3 Panzer III J in my BR1 line up, which I play quite often and with bit of luck you actually CAN wiggle your turret and force the enemy to shoot at it while angled. Not reliable because you have to shoot also - but it still can bounce.
Isn’t that the one with a bazillion machine guns? Great tank! Stop whining!
I do agree with MR that the pz3 will usually smoke it. Russian tank life is far better at BR3.
T-28 is a great infantry interceptor.
If I was rich like Adam, yes I would have Valentine. Does that even have HE? The British were notorious for only AP in tanks. If they gave Matilda HE I am pretty sure she never had it. Some Valentines may have. I call those the turtle tanks. I think you can test them in the range. Wait for the 2 big sales coming.
sure the 45mm HE is lacklustre but dont underestimate the dual MGs of the T-50.
It is a fact that T-28 has much better HE, but I also prefer T-28E for anti tank because it has more HE filler in AP shells so it can destroy most BR1-2 tanks in one shot.
