All those shortcomings are corrected on the E.
T28E might just be the best anti infantry vehicle of the entire game. And with normal shells it can battle other tanks of br1 to 3 easily.

If not aiming for turret, PZIV J got 80mm and PZIV G got 50+30mm
PZIV F2 got 50. But I wonder who will use them.
The same weakspot IS the turret. All decent tankers know that theyâre weak on axis tanks⌠especially in br 1 to 3

Are the T28E MGs still broken? A few weeks ago I had serveral games where its MGs didnt deal any damage. Saw the enemy squads shaking from the hits, but they didnt die.
So I put them out of duty.
That is very misleading.
All of the panzers have 50mm armour on the turret except Panzer III M (70-50) and Panzer IV E which only has 30.
The turret is always the most reliable target because the hull can be angled.
Most Axis players on BR2 will typically play Panzer II, III J and M, IV E and Puma.
The angled T-50 hull is almost impervious to all except the Puma while Panzers are forced to pixel the turret checks.

It is not difficult to use 75mm kwk36 apcbc to penetrate the T-50 turret, and the allowable range is very large.
Thatâs how we fight T-50 in old moscow campaign.
for other 50mms even PZ III J can just pen the front plate.
T-28 is dogshit, paper-thin armor and horrible against tanks. T-28E fixes these issues, as it gets the APHE (iirc) and the armor upgrade, making it one of the best tanks in the game for its BR.

I think the T-50 is vastly under-rated.
(the rest of this post is just general thoughts on these tanks.)
It has better armor than the T-28E and thereâs no weakspot - itâs 37MM all the way around, except underneath and the top. It has ammo for days, and itâs stupidly fast. If you get caught by an explosive while in a T-50, you deserve it.
The trick on the T-50 is to basically not stop moving. If you treat it like a far more durable, and a bit slower Puma, youâll have a lot of survivability and a lot of kills.
Re: the T-28E - itâs a good, but not great, tank. A lot probably depends on your play style. If youâre a gray zone camper, itâs quite good. If you go up into tight spots close to the cap point, youâre likely going to eat a lot of explosives or German tank shells, but youâll also probably pick up 10-20 quick infantry kills with any luck/skill. A lot here also depends on the map and the game mode.
T-50 vs the T-28E: With HE, youâre going to be mostly a BB-gun with the T-50. If you get two kills with one HE shell, youâre doing good. The thing is, you have like 75 of them. With the T-28E, it has pretty good HE, particularly at closer ranges, and can generally get some of those sweet 5-6 infantry in one shell that other tanks like the Panzer III N and the Crusader often get. With Anti-tank shells, the T-50 is pretty good. Iâve taken out my share III Ns with them, but usually, I try to scoot out of the way and/or lure an enemy to come to me and get my fellow team-mates to blow it up. The T28-E can take out any equivalent enemy tank, but donât try to sit there going shot for shot against the best German tanks. Until you are highly accurate, they will take you out with that crappy armor. Use terrain, surprise, mobility or, as mentioned, friendly infantry to assist with the stronger tanks.
I enjoy the heck out of baiting infantry in a T-50. Itâs just stupidly quick.
I would encourage folks to try different tanks - and also to upgrade them so they are getting the full value of the tank in question. Donât judge it based just on how much damage you are getting against the opponents best tanks, since that is not what you will be facing ALL the time. If you âget gudâ you wil almost never face the best tanks or ones you are outclassed in, until you are ready for them. A fast tank can sneak around a larger, slower tank and pop them in the ass.

Turret cheeks are all weak on panzers III/IV (except panzer III M premium). Thats not bias, that is fact. Why would you go on about Hull shotsâŚ
67 pen will get it done âeverytimeâ. The 150 HE filler does the rest
Any tanker worth his salt will know this and 1 shot panzers all day long in the t-28e (anyone that doesnt know this, really shouldnt be commenting)
Hull weakspots can be hidden behind obsticles, turret cheeks are always a target if you are.
The Term âPixelâ shot for turret cheeks (on most tanks with this weakness) is misused. Cheek shots arent hard or pixels.

He has good speed and smoke grenades and armor-piercing grenades
You can also penetrate BR1-3 Panzers anywhere except for III M and N using the 45mm gun while Axis have to pixel hunt, IDK whats your problem.

The Soviet T-28E can âone-shotâ a German Pz. III N, and also has pretty good HE capabilities for taking out infantry. I think youâll be surprised by how much better it is than the standard T-28. The T-50 is pretty good too; however, you canât poke your head up to check out battlefield conditionsâyouâre basically in a sealed metal coffin.

Oh I see now youâre all talking T-50. One of the best early tanks in game. Sloped armor. Low profile. A demon. I have experienced the T-28 mg bug but I think its the map. Happens with other vehicles too.
is this a joke? T-28E not even close to this tank. Panzer III N an order of magnitude better than all BR2 tanks. Panzer III N place is on BR3.

No itâs not. At BR3 your weak cannon canât pen overpowered KV-1 and T-34 even BR3 Axis tanks struggle to pen overbuffed KV-1
Just for good measure, Im going to Post âone matchâ of a T-28 E doing everything you need it to do for BR 3 , which is the highest you can see ânaturallyâ. (including blowing Up a Panzer IV G through binoculars âwithoutâ penetration indicator)

Panzer III may be one of the strongest, If Not âtheeeâ Strongest" BR 2 tank, BUT the T-28 E can do everything the 3N can do, and the Grant/lee isnt exactly lacking eitherâŚsooooâŚ
- Panzer 3N has its Rate of fire
- T-28 has its nuke shells and machine guns
- Grant has 2 cannons and decent armor
T-28 E is a beast. It just needs its MGs fixed from the patch breaking it.

yes, I believe it, because itâs absurd.
PZ3N has more armor, higher speed, faster gun reload, and has cumulative shells.
Thatâs why PZ3N the weakest tank. It makes sense.
