This is nice way of stopping players from having too much firepower. As one comment here said, including grenades as well is a good idea. Someone spamming grenades will have trouble equiping their soldiers with high firepower weapons.
However, more discussion about setting the point value for each weapon and max arms point for squads are needed. My opinion is making sure every assaulter and machine gunner get their automatic weapons and the rest get semi-automatic weapons.
I think I half understand what youāre trying to say, but that doesnāt solve the underlying problem. Already in Stalingrad there is a squad of engineers with 6 Mkb. The fact that only āEliteā class armaments enable automatic and semi-automatic rifles has already been partially implemented in the game system, and what if that prevents the squadās automatic attack? I would answer no.
Yes-those values are just ones made for Example. If Devs are to implement this or similar one in-games, I think they would make up with some survey/pole for it.
Imho (as an uncultured, noob, noskilled, biased, P2W, crutch-needing veteran player) the edge given by full FG / AVT / M2 squads, although not negligible, is largely overestimated.
(The 2021 me fresh Normandy player with nothing higher than Garands and G43s used to think exactly the same, BTW)
Well they may are, but there could be some differences by its site, usage and etc.
Personally, I actually think the one like StG or Avtomat Fedorovs (Assaulter Weapons) are more better than FG itself, but there is a power coming from larger squad numbers.
And even if Automatic Rifle squads are overestimated, it dosenāt mean that Automatic Rifles should remain in current state. They need to be balanced anyway.
I didnāt understand what you want. This thread was to prevent the dominance of automatic rifles by limiting the cost of weapons to a certain number per squad.
Dev already said they dont gonna limit in any way how a player costumize they squad (weapon,equipment) the idea is nice, but this make practically usless grind high-end gear if one soldier on 3 squad can use it
It is more a āguideā than a limit I suppose, just like adding another classes at squad by squad upgrades. You only can add 1 MG gunner at riflemen squad, but no one says it is limiting Squad customization.
Well I think it is making more āstrategicā, rather than making them useless.
As I said in my suggestion, you still would be able to use High-end weapons like MP 43, but with some strategic choices added. To use High- Firepower but less Soldiers, or a bit Low power but with more soldiers.
Well I think I cant understand what you are talking about, once one 7 respawn?
If you want to use End level weapons more often, you could bring up more squads with it, or by making your squad smaller but with Higher leveled Weapons, and etc.
Things wonāt change that much, only thing that would change is an amout of Automatic weapons per squad a bit reduced.
