The current rate of 5 Silver per 47 XP is absolutely insufficient. At the very least there needs to be a significant boost to the first 50-100 games (per nation) or so for new players to at least get a competitive loadout setup. At least then, you have something competitive to use while you slow grind the rest. Ultimately, I think it does need a buff, or a more reliable way to gain silver repeatedly.
Now, let’s talk numbers: Cuz we can:
Pre-merge:
- Bronze Troop Order every 1,500 XP
- Bronze Weapon Order every 3,000 XP
- Silver Weapon Order every 25,000 XP
- Silver Soldier Order every 50,000 XP
Note: It’s important to note that pre-merge, soldiers cost 1 silver order, regardless of tier.
When the merge occurred, orders were converted to silver:
- 1 bronze weapon order = 200 coins
- 1 bronze soldier order = 100 coins
- 1 silver weapon order = 500 coins
- 1 silver soldier order = 1,000 coins
This means that if we used the exchange rate:
- 100 Silver every 1500 XP
- 200 Silver every 3000 XP
- 500 Silver every 25,000 XP
- 1000 Silver every 50,000 XP
3,333.33 +3,333.33+1000+1000 = 8,666.66 Silver / 50,000 XP vs 5 / 47 XP
So which is more?: 17.33% of XP pre-merge vs 10.68% of XP post-merge
- This is approx. a 39% drop in reward.
Now pre-merge we had 12 campaigns to loadout
Now post-merge we have 4 nations to loadout, but 3 loadouts (if you want BR I-II, BR III, and BR IV - V)…guess what … that’s 12 loadouts still, and troops of different tiers, are more expensive now.
Therefore, I think that there is a logical reason to boost the silver gain to at least pre-merge conversion rates. This would make it 6.95 / 47 XP, while we’re at it, lets make it a clean 50 XP (because, who chooses 47 XP, seriously?) 17.33% of 50 is 8.665, lets round that up to 9 / 50 XP. Now, considering that troops of different tiers are more expensive … let’s clean that up to a nice 10 Silver /50 XP or a clean 20% of XP is converted to silver.
