Am not sure if this has been brought up or not and I don’t really have the time to look.
So this game for the most part feels like arcade battles in War Thunder. So why not have 3rd person view in tanks and planes?
I have noticed the controls are a little bit different, for instance default settings for abandoning vehicles is F instead of J.
I’ve always associated F for flaps haha. Had a couple blunders while trying to rewire my brain, which I know I could probably just redo my key bindings, just something I would share.
Well third person on tanks vs tanks is not a huge deal because everyone has the same limitations. But most of the time infantry the only way they have to blow up a tanks is by sneaking up. So if you give them 3rd tank view then infantry stands no chance agaist tanks. I don´t think so.
You can always look out the hatch and risk your commander getting shot.
You can rebind that key in CONTROLS if you prefer it that way. Most people that play FPS enters/exit vehicles with F
Yes it has been brought up. When you create a topic it shows similar topics so you already should’ve noticed the 10 other suggestions for this. And 3rd person is a terrible idea.
Because people use the Person Camera to see above hills, around corners and on planes to see what is behind u, without having an angle to see anything.
War Thunder doesn’t have infantry factor in it.
Tanks blindness is their most important weakness when fighting against infantry - so if take it away they can become even more powerful. No more sneaking up with the explosion pack, tank will magickaly see you coming from behind and react to that.
And just to clarify- Enlisted doesn’t come from WT. It developed by different studio and shares only few vehicle models and publisher.
So splitting playerbase even more? There already are 3 campaigns, 4 confirmed, even more on the way. There are two gamemodes: Squads and Lone Fighters.
If you add Realistic and Arcade modes to that then Enlisted will become fully PvE game with only few real players in the matches.
The UI for the vehicles definitely came from war thunder. And infantry can still sneak up on vehicles just the same when the turret speeds slow. I don’t think y’all are getting my point with the arcade v realistic
War Thunder is the only one position in its nieche on the market, I has much bigger playerbase than Enlisted will ever have. And like I said - community will already be splitted for many campaigns and Squds/Lone Fighters. What you are suggesting is splitting that at least for another half.
Just use the same waiting for battle screen. That way the player that is waiting can see what game mode and campaign that other players are queueing up in.
Sure war thunder has the only niche that does that but where do you think a lot of players are coming from?
Warthunder has way older and bigger community… we allways have players that only play lonewolf against ai because no one will play it.
And i dont see that point with arcade and realistic because its a lie… arcade with 3. person camera for tanks and planes would be harder then realistic for 90% of the players… sure the 2-6 vehicles would rape around but all infratry would be unhappy with that.
