My suggestion against grey zone campers
After a player reaches a certain time camping in grey zone ,a mark will be placed on his tank.this will give an opportunity to the pilot to take him down.

You can already highlight him, just aim and click and he’s all lit up for the planes
Players need to be aware they are in the greyzone to get penalized, you cant know unless it shows on map
Greyzone on some maps are only 20 feet away from the objective so those poor saps either A) Drive up to the objective to get detpacked, or B) stay in greyzone and be perma marked for easy airplane kill.
Greyzone on some map is 10m from the objectives
Normandy le-bree [forward hause first defense point] do 10 step going to nord as defender and you enter in the grey zone
Its not, a tank can technically be on the point but is still in the non common playeble area
yea i agree to pin the players who step into the gray zone for some time. Some objs are only meters away from enemy gray zone and it is hard to defend them without step into the gray zone.
That’s pointless since you can easily see them shooting on your respawn spawn screen. Just remove grey zone after 2 mins after next defense starts (however they should be visible on a minimap with small delay), add another gray zone much further where tanks would spawn so enemies wouldn’t be able to abuse mines
grey zone “camping” is not really a problem, spawnkilling however is what breaks the game, not because it is unfair or something, but “people camping the enemy spawn” tend to hurt their own team by not playing the objective.
no, just rework the game until there is no more need for “grey zone” (So, when are we getting EC-like game mode?)
Nah, it would end up just like HLL or BF2042 => just boring travel simulator on the start of game - and with even more need for rally points. It wouldn’t change anything except this fact.

what “OP’s suggestion” also, have you played planetside 2? that game is great example of how you can have huge map yet lots of action
Plus we currently are not even able to have team full of real players. It would just add more bots to the game. What a great experience.
Trust me I’ve seen plenty of tanks get taken out by planes
I’m entertained people still complain about hiding in the gray zone but not a peep about players going to the edge of the zone and wrecking players trying to leave it
whenever I see a tank sitting in the grey zone sniping, Im quite happy to leave him there. As opposed to killing Him and risking a better tanker getting the tank slot and using it to support the infantry push
You mean go out and get detpacked 10 s later? If grey zone camping isn’t effective, there will not be so many people want to nerf it.
people want anything nerfed that they cant deal with. period. but hey to me it make no difference If it does get nerfed. Dont care about them now, wont care about them after
Why do you think leaving the grey zone to support the infantry push is good in the first place?
I mean what kind of support are you talking about?
Fire support? Act as moving barrier ?
combined arms is the way to go (and it works for me) Enemy has to split focus between getting stormed and worry about a tank up in their grill as well as infantry. I think of the tank as the anchor point for holding/taking ground. If you are sitting in the spawn sniping, you’re not really holding any ground. If you move with your infantry, you are less likely to get detpacked and you might just be what the infantry needed to breakthrough a fortified position.
if A tank is sitting in the grey, I know hes not gonna get anywhere near my rally points and intercept reinforcements. And hey, if he turns out to be annoying…I know exactly where Hes going to be…enter Dive bomb.
First of all what is the point of tank being as anchor point? Infantry spawn from rally point near the objective point form a streams of reinforcements which can hold the ground around the objective point.
In this game I don’t think there is fortified position that need to be breakthrough by tanks. There is only objective point you need to take, no line for you to breakthrough.
Tank can rarely get near rally point.They can easily be destroyed by detpack. Infantry is not likely to be supporting you because they are attacking the point.

Fortified position = place where enemies are streaming out of Because they are spawning there OR literally hunkered down.
