Sorry but this is a case of “git gud”, unless you got some footage to prove the places where you hit him should cause major damage
And that is an ignorant comment - the gamer doesn’t show where you hit him - just an indication that you did.
War thunder is known for “sparks” - visual hits, but on server side they are not registered and deal no damage.
With your ping they would be pretty common.
the flight model sits between RB and Sim, but the controls are RB.
There are some “sim” control options, but those aren’t actually exclusive to sim, just nobody outside of sim cares about them.
I mostly ment the first person view lock
tbh I wish War Thunder had that in RB
That is possible - but you do get an indication of a hit - the white diagonal cross-hair I believe?
more than likely
For you, everything indicates a hit, as you hit it on your end, but the actual damage is handled server side, so you are actually shooting a target that is delayed by whatever your ping is, meaning they are flying much further ahead than you think. But there is no way for you to aim at that target, and the server says you miss because your shots are aimed at the location the target was 2x your ping time ago for the server side.
Yeah you might be on to something - I can certainly aim a bit ahead of the indicator… ping is in milliseconds? so 2 x 300 = 600 = 0.6 seconds - I can lead a bit to get closer I’m sure
lesson from war thunder, the indicator is only a ballpark estimate. You need to get closer than when it first appears, make short ranging bursts first, adjust according to how you see those land, then move onto longer bursts.
Never lay on the trigger unless you’re at point blank.
IL-2 had a lot of armour but in this game, it dies quicker than a chaika
