Stuck reload animation and tank mg overheating

I got the “stuck reload animation” 5 times in a row. Rank 3 soldier, PRE WAR KAR98. You think this is fun game mechanic devs?
Also the tank mg (pz. II) can shoot without stop like 3 seconds. Then it gets overheated. This is really wrong.
Do something with this devs, its making the game more unfun.

The reload jam is really annoying as it removes skill when hiding when reloading. I’ve had many occasions where I hide then pull out just before the normal reload would complete, so I can line up a shot and shoot as soon as it finishes reloading. Instead, my gun jams and I die because I can’t shoot

honestly, i like the jam reload animation. it’s believable, and somewhat, makes the gameplay unique.

but i do agree that this “issue” should be “fixed”.

like, if the soldiers has more than two yellow stars, and the rifle it’s actually two or more stars, this shouldn’t happen.

Same here. I really like the idea of implementing this in the game. But sometimes it´s happening far too often.
But I think that lowering the chance for it to happen significantly as soldier/gun level increases would be better in long term, as otherwise, it would be just some kind of new player unique mechanic. New players are in disadvantage enough as they are already. I don’t think there is a need to entirely remove these nice little details for veterans.

That’d punish newbies for not having 2 star soldiers, though. That’s a nono

no it’s not?

this will happen less. as it’s not hard getting two stars soldier.

it’s still occasional. as it should be realistic.

new fresh soldiers if not “mid” “veteran” might don’t know how to reload properly
i honestly don’t see any troubles with it.

as i don’t would like to see this feature unusued.

It might not be hard to get a two star soldier, but it could be hard getting one for all 21 soldiers slots in your squad when you first start out.

again, i disagree. doesn’t take too much. even with logistic cards after one week of casual gameplay you starts to get 2 stars soldiers.

i still don’t see where is the problem.

do you need all 21 to be 2-star?

if what Erika proposes, goes through, you’d need all of them to be 2 stars to eliminate the reload thing.

you mean one week of casual suffering? The first week is everything for first impressions.

of course it’s not an " easy " game.

but at the same time, if everyone gets everything in the first week, their game time on the overhall product it will be very short.

and in company terms, this is the least thing it’s needed.

To eliminate it entirely sure, but keeping it as it is now isn’t a big deal.

imo, it is. I do not want to use a gun that randomly fails me. I can not play “competitively” with that. I always have to hold back in fear of my gun jamming.

For someone who calls themself competitive, you really have a fear of conditions that aren’t 100% in your favor.
Everyone facing the same variables is fair, and has always been gaijin’s thing.

All I want is consistency. I want to be able to round a corner knowing my gun will be reloaded by the time I want to fire it. And I want new players to be able to do the same. Reward skill, not luck.

I´m no expert on guns, but as far as I know, armanent failures were nothing too rare on battlefield and longer campaigns where maintenance was just not ideal. Making sure that it will rely on “gun level” or soldier level would be nice attempt to represent experience in handling the gun or reliability (read as maintenance, or however you would want to call it). It would be damn shame to have this removed.

Quite frankly, the only thing we are losing is 1 animation. As far as I am aware, there are no other jam animations. From a developer’s perspective, removing it wouldn’t be much of a waste.

Yeah, but I just tend to appreciate those little details, especially in a game that is trying to go “realistic” way. I wouldn´t mind at all if more possible “failures” would be added to more weapons to be honest. It just needs to have some system to lowering the possibility for it to happen (for practical and tactical reasons).

Please for the love of god let SMGs and MGs jam.
I don’t understand how we got bolt-action failures before MG failures.

one thing that has me curious: has anyone seen it on anything other than the Kar98k?
I’ve only gotten it to happen with that, and I main Russia so I use mosins more than anything.
