Stuck reload animation and tank mg overheating

The Kar98k reload is the only one with an alternate reload animation, aka reload jam.

I think the reason may be that kar98k is among oldest weapons (in terms of when they were added) in the game.
I would really expect and look forward to see it eventually expanded on the rest as well, as they are like bonus flavour (sometimes sour, but hey people will notice these little details and both hate and appreciate them at the same time).

I would at least have expected the pre-war kar98k to not have the reload jam, as it specifically mentions being made of better qualities etc.

Also, that still doesn’t explain why the mosin doesn’t jam

I think what they’re getting at is the kar98k has development priority over the Mosin, as it’s seen in every confirmed campaign so far.

Soldiers train with their weapon . They know how to reload the weapon…lol. Now nerves in combat ? Sure that can make for jittery hands.

very nice idea this will actually make the academy useful to get the higher level soldiers and the weapons to be upgraded not only will the weapons perform well they won’t jam frequently…

That would further handicap new players

everyone suffers at first don’t they? I have played many f2p games where i have suffered before even getting some good units or weapons…what they can do is make the matchmaking better instead of pitting everyone into a single hole but for that you need players and as for players …uh? silence intensifies

The big diffrence is that with the good F2P games, you can actually have genuine fun regardless of your gear.

For example, MWO gives you test mechs. They aren’t the best, but definitely good enough to get you through a battle. TF2 is balanced in such a way that stock weapons are generally best with a handful of exceptions that you can obtain within the first few days of playing. War thunder gives most modifications on reserve vehicles for free to get you started. Warframe is PvE and a new player can get carried by high level players. etc

The matchmaker will surely come. As you say, we don’t have enough players at the moment. This is also because we are still in a testing phase of the game.

Many people are waiting for the release. Also, many streamers who did not know the game have surprised very positively and I think in the OB we will have many new players and accordingly a Matchmaker.

Some weapons are just finicky.

honestly, i’m backing up warden here,

i mean, you have to struggle a little in order to understand the game.

we don’t wanna have an easy game. and i personally don’t think that it’s all of that game breaking. as it wouldn’t become a proper handicap.

but that’s just me

I dont think that getting thrown into a battle with just bolt actions will make the game easy (even with proper rebalancing). You are forced to learn to aim quickly in order to hit those upper torso shots you need to kill in one hit. I just dont think there needs to be any additional handicaps.

Increase the smg and other lmgs reload time…makes bolt action more useful…plus i really believe the reload time should increase a little bit of the automatic guns right now they are too fast you can clear rooms of enemies even after reloading thrice.

Only because bots have to stare at you for a solid 30 seconds before they start shooting on close quarters.

Box magazine reload rates aren’t an issue, though I’ve never reloaded a drum yet to see how fast those are, counting the Madsen as a box magazine as the model is a placeholder.

While that is true, reload jams are usually not frequent enough to consider this too significant. If improvements in gun handling could be seen ever since rank II and III, it is going to be more enriching detail, rather than being harmful. Or we can just give everybody same chance no matter how experience soldier is or how polished the gun is of course, but then veteran players (well, mostly tryhard category that judges effectivity of every single step they make) would complain that their academy is pointless in this aspect.

Still, I would be against removing these features, rather than expanding and polishing them

i mean, not really?

smg are available after a couple of matches.

i think that learning and make some pratice with bolt action for just those needed matches it’s very important as helpful.

Skill would be more realistic in how quickly you fix (or notice) the malfunction rather than preventing it.

Some magazines just have shitty springs, for example.
