Stop using EAC before the muppets arrive

Dear developers and publishers. I am enjoying your game, thank you. I also used to enjoy Hell Let Loose and put almost 600 hours into it, until the cheaters arrived and ruined the game. Please, before you publish Enlisted as a finished game, use a better anti-cheat system than EAC.

Yeah - they should hire some random from the forums who can tell what’s cheating and what isn’t just by whether he knows why he got killed or not - that one works every time…

Every game has them. F2P games have more. The RPG element and massive grind will dissuade most of the lazy ones since no one wants to lose progress.

Note that most accusations are just from your point of view. Hopefully, this game will include a replay feature like War Thunder. I was able to verify a cheater I found there by watching the replay to confirm and forward it with a report.

There is no better anti-cheat than EAC. Point.

dear red fox.

if you are reffering to people 1 tapping you across the map even in heavy foliage, those " cheaters " are bots.

i know, it’s confusing due to their " nicknames " but thos nicknames are generated at random.
a good way to recognize bots from players, is by their score. bots tends to have lot of deaths, and very few kills.
example:

as you are CBT i assume you are new, which it’s great! we always need newer people for this wonderfull project.

back to our main topic, unfortunally, bots has been updated, and they are deadlier than ever which is what we have been asking from a long time, but at the point that they almost have some sort of aimbot even through heavy foliage and stuff.

there is a long story behind those bots, and i wouldn’t waste your time behind.

so, i’ll go to the conclusion.

90% of time, i can say for sure that are bots.
and i have around 1000 hours. ( not for flex, i’m not the type ) but, i do know how this game work.
which those bots has been improved, but at the same time, made a bit worse when playing.

and, don’t worry, it has nothing to do regarding the EAC.

but a fix for those bots is in program and has been adressed in the newer dev thread, just a matter of time: Core current tasks

cheers ^^

Erika, you seem to have made a conversation up in your head.

no conversation made up in my head.

i simply gaved you a proper “answer” to your incorrent assumption.

so…

He didn’t make any assumptions. He just asked the devs to not use EAC for OBT/release as it is known to be lackluster, as all it does is verify file integrity before launching the game.

well, even IF. i don’t see why it should be changed in the first place when it’s arleady here, and it does the job greatly.

over 1000 hours of game have you ever seen someone cheat?

yes.

di they got banned?

yes. ( at least for me )

but if you are willing to pay for a newer system. be my guest.

Yeah, and we might be past the point of no return.

I remember reading the Post Scriptum devs say they want to remove EAC but it would be too expensive to do so for some reason, so they’re stuck with it.

EAC also stops Proton from working with the game, which is a problem.

Not quite, EAC have different types of Anticheat options. Not only file integrity. It depends what you want as Dev and how much you are willing to pay

I know it doesn’t thwack every cheater, but it knocked WT’s population down by at least 20% when it first got added lmfao

No anti cheats can 100% make the game without any hackers.
But better anti cheats and penalty (like steam) can reduce the hackers amount.
Also need a active report and banning system, a classic wrong example is BFV. (F*** * EA)

This game need a better report and spectator system.

Also a good news, this game is pretty unknown in China.

Honestly I don’t understand why VAC isn’t more popular. I haven’t heard any bad things about it.

I haven’t heard any good things about it. Maybe thats the reason

VAC dosent work outside steam… If some games want not only on steam, it have to equip other anti cheats. Also, some will choose VAC+other anti cheats.
EAC is really popular among games but also a extreme popular target for hackers.

Also another main reason is the cost. A VAC BAN on steam can devalue an account alot.

Flagging and banning cheaters across all VAC games is pretty baller if you ask me.

Plus the option to segregate VAC from non-VAC servers without breaking the game.

that’s a good thing

But a VAC BAN is most likely to occur if someone did hack. EAC ban has tons of misjudgment report. VAC do have some, not that much.

Also as a Chinese players, I know how Chinese hackers F***KED EAC alot. ANY EAC GAMES, can be cracked really soon if it goes popular.
