Just because Wikipedia has got the type 100 smg wrong it doesn’t mean everything is false, I’ve seen these documents and have changed my mind about the type 100 smgs firerate, but unless you have conclusive evidence that the type 100 mg had 1000rpm I think we should use the source that most Enlisted guns are based off.

Mp40 was only above average when people had no vitality and no body armor. Now it’s the worst smg at BR2
You may also remember the Type 99 machine gun with a rate of fire of 800 rounds per minute and the Fedorov Avtomat with a rate of fire of 400 rounds per minute.

Nobody seems to know that PPS-43 is the worst smgs of big tree. While PPS-42 and Uragan are kings of BR2 and completely dominate Germany.
But the problem is the US so balancing it for ussr with both had two problems
First US does not have body armor so you would have to add that
Second many new players dond have the health perk
So if balanced for soviet’s with body armor and health you would be op against us players
Well they completely dominated Japan on the event also so no surprise Axis SMGs on BR II and III are much worse then Allies until now.
The mp40 is still very good, it’s got very controllable recoil and a good rpm, the mp40 should be used as a baseline for br2 balance not the pps43.

Only because they gave them bad guns on purpose. 20 round tommy and 2a vs ppsh-41 box and pps-42 (or 43) is not a fair matchup. Japanese smgs are very competitive at BR2-3 unlike garbage German smgs that are worst in the game by far.

I also discovered over time that the Type 4 rifle does not have a bolt catch.

Well Japan SMGs are completable at BR III but not on BR II for sure. (before the changes)
If br2 3 smgs are garbage the kiraly is a straight up better Thompson in German clothing
Well the worst BR for US and Japan is BR IV for sure. Specially for the US.

All 3 wrong, it’s garbage when compared to competitors smg, just by having 1.6 visual recoil discredits that slow firing smg in my eyes. Mate it has worse recoil than overpowered pps-42 despite it’s firing much slower it’s not a great gun not even good it’s just pure mediocrity you would barely pass on the exam by showing that gun to the evaluation board. RPM is way too slow you need at least 690 rpm at BR2 to compete with power creep and uptiers.
pps-43 was never good it’s too inaccurate while pps-42 is vastly superior in every stat (than dispersion/reloadspeed) than mp40
Yes. This is the most correct and obvious solution. I also think that the Nambu Model II tank submachine gun (Type 2A in the game) can take the same damage as the PPD 34 (with a box magazine) and go to 1 BR.

I feel like if they made the base values 6.0 damage and 550 rpm, the MP 40 would be a great SMG. As long as the more power creepy SMGs get nerfs.
Well fot Type 2A I’m not sure really what to do there since its connected with the BR IV Type 2.
There are many BR2 smgs that are worse than MP40.
To say that MP40 is the worst smgs on BR2 is just the crazy rant of a lost man.

The MP 40 doesn’t not need a buff to compete with power creep, power creeping weapons either need uptiering or a nerf. At one point the mp40 was completely adaquate perhaps not the best but just good enough, now its weakness is starting to show because br2 is being invaded by OP guns, the mp40 is not the problem the OP guns are.

They wouldn’t want to touch it’s realistic rof and they would still need to lower it’s bad recoil (especially visual) and dispersion.
