Stop paywalling game mechanics

The way I judge P2W is very simple:
Will seal clubbers buy them?
Or will they be heavily used if there are competitive matches?

Vehicles that can be FLAG03ing on the ground like flamethrowers and rockets tanks are definitely P2W

I still think it’s way better that calliope is somewhat limited. So not every kid can spam it.

All other rocket ground vehicles aren’t that great. Panzerwerfer is mediocre and Soviet tank is just bait that’s in reality extremely bad.

I guess it’s going to be another breeder
Just like tiger breeding can’t hurt their tanks
Tanks from both sides will ignore each other and focus on killing infantry
This problem is also common on airplanes

This is a shit way of limiting things, that is very close to if not p2w.

Then you’ll see a bunch of players who don’t have the ability or refuse to anti-tank get massacred.
Then came to the forum to cry about the unreasonable (ridiculous) massacre

So give me a suggestion on how to remake Calliope so it’s not so incredibly annoying.

Plus, it’s not even a very powerful tank, it just has an awfully low skill treshold. But it’s extremely easy to destroy.

So it’s better to limit powerful things by making them premium? This is the definition of p2w.

At least you won’t see him all the time

How is it annoying? I thought so called “HE spam” was just an imagination of some “loud individuals”?

Malice aside, I don’t know really.
Personally I’d just introduce spawn score but that’s not realistic. So the only solution is a nerf.
All options are bad. Play stupid games, win stupid prices.

Players suggesting p2w as a balancing tool.

And some say I’m the bad guy.

When I think about the official revenue stream and what happens if these things keep showing up in every game
I think this is the best way

P2W = dead game in the long run.
I fail to see how this is preferable to anything. Unless your goal is to milk the whales as fast as possible, kill the game, make another p2w game and repeat.

So what do you think can be done to ensure official revenue and game balance?

Sell things that don’t give an advantage in the game?
Like gold, silver, exp boosters, skins, collectable items etc.

Yes, but you don’t have to care
Use it like a suicide plane on the ground
Sometimes it’s enough to turn the tide of battle

They are already selling
Unless you want to see non-historical or more exaggerated decoration
But I guess someone’s gonna stop you

If you haven’t noticed, I’m certainly not crying for Calliope to be nerfed to the level of bombing raids.

On the contrary, it’s annoying. But when I run into it, it’s totally easy to deal with.

Calliope doesn’t make good players any more effective than they would be with, say, Sherman 105, but it does make bad players more effective than they would normally be.
Is this pay2win? Maybe. But certainly not on any scale that would affect me.

But I understand that maybe below average players could be more pissed off.

Except current customization system is quite bad.
You can check one of @ErikaKalkbrenner 's 1000s posts about how it could be improved.
Better customization = players are more interested = players are more willing to buy something = money

If it’s balanced, there is nothing to limit. Especially in such retarded way as paywall.
We already have plenty of annoying mechanics and “nobody” cares.

I started playing Enlisted because I was bored and it seemed realistic so as a RO2 veteran I felt compelled after Stalingrad update, but I stayed because it wasn’t pay to win.
Sure there are premium stuff that is very strong and in some cases stronger than TT like the premium APC have 6 specialist while TT squad has only 4, but overall the best stuff are usually free.
