The Type Hei Auto does 13.9 damage at max. It is an assault rifle essentially. The Fedorov also, is an Assault Rifle. Hence they should do the same damage.

even if there is no data, i would be against this cause it would make fedorov OP compared to its counterparts. currently fedorov has advantage over stg44 in damage so it requires 3 hits to kill, while stg44 requires 4 hits to kill. that makes both weapons comparable with their weapons magazine. buff to 13.9 damage for fedorov would give fedorov 2 hit kill potential.
The semi autos have different upgrade paths compared to assault rifles/carbines
they are both automatic rifles, not assault rifles. assault rifles use intermediate cartridge.

The thing is if we’re just going to completely ignore what makes different guns perform differently, then we may as well just have everyone use the same generic model for every gun and call them “gun, weak” “gun, medium” and “gun, strong” because otherwise what’s the point of even making them specific guns if they’re not going to be comparable to the actual gun? If the Federov and Type Hei have similar enough ballistics from using the same, or close enough, barrel length, twist rate, and cartridge, then yes they should be the same damage. However, if they are noticeably different, then the in game stats should reflect as such

It’s silly wanting to buff/nerf stuff because of some round comparisons. Since ALL weapons in Enlisted have stats trying to be balanced instead of being realistic.
That Fedorov for example. It may not do rifle damage… but it also only has smg like small recoil!!!
That thing does not need a boost, it’s already the best assaulter weapon in game.
well for this game i differentiate between SF automatic rifles and assault rifles and balancing should be by the class. SF rifles should have higher damage, but they should also have higher recoil(well RIP that with recent updates), while AR should have lower damage and lower recoil.
type hei AR is in SF rifle category, while fedorov is in AR category, so their balance should be different. although i wouldnt mind both of them being in SF category with giving type hei AR and fedorov nerf in terms of recoil and fedorov buff in terms of damage.

Cause the biggest argument against “realism” is “SMG 1 tap.” BUT, with my idea of using the Kar98k as a base and adjusting everything accordingly, you can make the difference between performances as drastic as you want. You could make the Kar98k be 22 damage, or whatever Bolties are now, and then say that since the .45 ACP’s SMG ballistics are this much lower, it does 5 damage, and the insert a 9mm SMG here does 3 damage. And the rest increase or decrease on that scale you’ve set. Or it could be 10 damage and 8 damage. Or 8 damage and 6 damage. Whatever number you want to throw up there, so long as it’s consistent scaling and the other guns follow that scale you’ve set forth. So guns can perform based on their ballistics on a scale of how they compare to the standard. Not only would this be infinitely better just from a gun nerd’s stand point, but it would also really bring out the differences in the factions’ small arms. Think about it, one faction’s rifles may be better due to using a different cartridge, but the opposing faction may have harder hitting SMG’s instead of SMG’s being based almost solely on recoil and RPM and all rifles in each category acting, more or less, the same

It would be waaaay too complicated, and boos of all factions would complain.
Because other factors should change to go along with, such as recoil. Here, boos would hate it because, taking Fedorov as example, it would start shooting at birds in the sky if used in full auto like ppl do now.
Basically the entire weaponry statistics AND balance between factions would need to be reviewed from scratch.

And yes guns firing a full power rifle cartridge should have near uncontrollable recoil. Just look at the complaints about the M14 when it was handed to troops. We aren’t super soldiers…or at least we shouldn’t be
