You exaggerate the power of this weapon too much. He has a lot of recoil, not a lot of ammunition. He is opposed by the Soviet AVT - automatic mode, high damage.

We are very careful about the balance and in addition to the weapons themselves, we are working on balancing the classes. There will be news about it in the future.

The mkb-42 is a good rifle, although it’s not a big deal, they should limit its use a bit.

All I’m hearing is AVT40 and MKB 42 will be in Moscow for all soldiers next update

That’s right, the avt is a really perfect gun
Even now, I often use avt in Berlin.
It’s an incredibly good gun
Even, sometimes, when I play axis, if avt is visible, replace it

Really happy with the new weapon models, my only pet peeve now with weapon models is some MG’s having their bipods in transport positions (eg MG-13, Bren)

Is there a new radio operators2 in Normandy? radio operators2 does not exist in Normandy. However, it exists in other battlefields.Can I see you this time?

I´m honestly afraid of this.

It seems that SF rifles will indeed continue ruling the meta and ruining the actual gameplay experience… all that because it is supposedly “balanced.”

You can give each BA infinite amount of damage and it wouldn´t change a thing on the situation.
Funnily enough, Tunisia might be the only haven left for people who do not want this madness.

Im also expecting StG44 for all soldiers in Berlin as well. I dont like the way this is heading either

Berlin can burn for all I care, it was always a full auto spam mess anyway.
I´m more afraid about campaigns that are still better than that (despite getting close to it).

Where is the bolt action defense squad? Doesnt this further trash the use of bolt actions? Everyone will take a literal assault rifle making 9 man assault squads

And the problem here isn’t it’s power, just like in the case of all selective fire weapons (FG, M2, AVS, AVT and now MKb). Powerwise they are fine.

It’s their availability that matters. If you would give them to classes that specialise in full auto weapons (Assaulters, Gunners and now Medics) nobody would complain. But if you just give all those weapons to literrally every soldier on the battlefield, that’s the problem.

We’re happy that bolt action rifles will get a damage boost. But will that really matter in capzones located mostly in buildings when everyone will be running around armed with full auto weapons? Who will win there: squad armed with bolt actions or 9 man squad full of STGs?

My point was, that at least in my opinion situation cannot be worse than it already is in Berlin when it comes to usage of these weapons.

I know that this Wastedwoodsman logic is stupid, but when it already burns, sometimes it might be a good idea to just add some more wood and enjoy the view. I´m sure many people who like Berlin gameplay will appreciate it.

That’s what I wrote about above.

We are working not only on the balance of weapons, but also on the mechanics of the game and the balance of classes, and right now we are dealing with the issue of “Run with a machine gun into this room.”

In this list of weapons for the Siege of Stalingrad, do you have any plans to modify or replace the weapons that you think are out of date or ruin the balance?

I know how many premium players i play against, i can see kill feeds. There are 2-3 players per side of campaign.

I’m not interested in playing against bots, and maybe 2 dudes, and i have to pay for that on top of this.

Did You forget this is a f2p game? Why do You think people will play campaign with 500k XP grind for one late level, and not have access to most weapons anyway.

This campaign will be ghost town faster than tunisia axis. And that was really boring to play, so i’ll pass.

However, that would still not really matter in the great scheme of things, if literally every soldier can potentially be equipped with fully automatic weapon.
In a way of how capturing objective works, full auto will always beat other types of weapons, so giving it to everyone like a candy will continue killing variety no matter how many restrictions are placed on them.

I think that @32883447 summarized the issue well.

There will be a chance, maybe in future campaigns or in already existing ones that sides levelling and squad won’t be the same between them? (like different squad structures between sides in number or composition, different squad placement on campaign etc)
