easy mate, I was looking at the armor view screen and the main plate overlaps there, I didnt test it yesterday after looking into it - no need to throw rocks mate.
Just my regular wild thoughts I try to follow until there either is a dead end, or an actual good point.
I still believe KV1 is crazy strong tho, why shouldnt I? it one hit kills my Panzer IV with every shot, while I need multiple hits.
I never really besides today went to the extend to say KV1 was OP specifically because it can face BR4, but I am still very annoyed dealing with it.
You can use Kar98 with GL, bots are going to be more effective with BA anyway. GLs still works just fine (I find the most recent GL “nerf” only to be just another PR solution, nothing more or less)
Plus you can put AT soldier in nearly every squad, it’s not like you have to play AT squad.
If you still going to deliberately decide not to play pfauts when you can, okay lol. That’s up to you.
in the KV-1 with the L-11 cannon, the cheeks of the gun mask are 75 mm, because of the shape of the mask, the armor is 80-82 millimeters, the upper frontal part is 75 millimeters (where is the machine gun nest and the driver’s hatch), which are also 80-82 millimeters, where are these 90 and 150?? The most durable part of the KV-1 3 br turret is the 90mm mask, the L48 easily pierces the KV-1 turret, which means that the question is already how you shot at the tank. If the KV-1 ZIS-5, then its upper frontal part is also 75 mm, and the turret has armor in a circumference of 90-95 mm, due to the angles of inclination of the armor plates, the armor is 100-105 mm.
Honestly? If VG 1-5 had a rate of fire of 350 - they would probably be my favourite weapon in the entire game, I love semi auto weapons in shooter games, but M1 Carbine and VG shoot so painful slow it can be very frustrating.
even with these 95 mm in circumference, the photo shows that in the frontal projection of the tower there are large sections of armor 80-90 mm thick (almost the entire frontal projection), the L48 cannon penetrates almost 140, that is, there are still no problems with penetration.
The funny thing is this
You fire at a tank at a training ground where there is no crew, which significantly increases the detachability of the equipment
In real combat, in my memory, it’s useless to shoot at an empty kv-1 zis-5 turret, even with a kwk43, everything just evaporates there
What can I say when firing 50mm conventional kv-1
Play a few fights at random, or in a separate room…where will your opponent have a crew in kv well for an accurate experiment)
And so… I don’t play on KV and I don’t recommend it to you. A weak tank
