Some simple Reseach Tree Additions for the British

Rifle No. 5 Mk I “Jungle Carbine”

Essentially a carbine version of the Lee-Enfield. It would have largely the same stats, but with quicker handling at the expense of damage and muzzle velocity. BR II.

Lanchester (50 rounds)

I’ve been informed this is already in the game.

STEN Mk.V

Upgraded STEN with improved handling and recoil. BRII.

STEN Mk.V (50 rounds)

STEN Mk.V with a 50 round magazine. Most analogous to the SIG 1920. BRIII.

Lewis Gun

Lewis Gun Is already in the game as an old Soviet premium. Make this one not a premium and move it to the Allies TT. Whatever BR it’s currently at.

Lewis Gun (97 rounds)

Same as last, but now the magazine is extended from 47 to 97 rounds. BRV.

Valentine Tank

Old Soviet premium tank. Move it to Allied tree. BRII.

Cromwell Tank

Copy and paste from warthunder. BR IV.

Comet Tank

Copy and paste from warthunder. BRV.

Spitfire Mk.IX

Another Spitfire with stronger ground attack capability. BRIII.

DH.103 Hornet

Dual engine CAS with 2x 1000 lbs bombs and 4x 20mm cannons. Copy/Paste from Warthunder. BRV.

Its already in the game as an event weapon.
However Stens can also accept the same 50 round mag so maybe they could add the mk.V

Huh, didn’t know that. Hopefully they bring that back someday. Topic is updated. Thx!

I think the Sten Mk V and Lee-Enfield No.5 should be Paratrooper squads because they were used by them

Sure, it would he a great choice if they ever add Paratroopers to the Tech Tree.

But if we’re talking Premium/Event squad weapons I think the Patchett Mk.I (Early Sterling SMG) would be better. It was used in limited numbers by both Paratroopers and Commandos during WW2, so it could work for Para or Guerrilla units.

I am craving more Commonwealth Stuff! All of those are MUST haves (excpet maybe the Hornet, lovely plane but I believe its post war?)

May I also suggest:

Turner 20 round (this one may not exist, the High capacity mag I mean…probably just a Battlefield creation, ) ALthough I dont see why It couldnt take Magazines from the Charlton Rifle. Potentially compatible

Better Gun Valentine (6 Pound or 75mm gun)

Perhaps Event AA

FireFly (in files with Bombs, Id like to see it rocket Loadout)

Mosquito with 6 pound Gun (tank Buster)

Typhoon (rockets or Bombs)

Blenheim

If we really wanted to get crazy then there’s also this ridiculous thing; the Archer (yes, that gun is backwards).

Yeah I leave that one out on purpose!!! haha. Its a tough one to love…maybe if its reverse gear wasnt so bad it would be a good idea

hornet became operational only in mid-1946, so no to that
others are cool

Operational in the RAF in 1946, although its first flight was in 1944. Its as legitimate as some other vehicles in the game, although I can understand being hesitant.

Thank you for your post. I support all these ideas, especially the Jungle Carbine, Lewis gun and Sten Mk V.

Great suggestions here I support all these being added as well.

Id love an alternative to the Garand that is British/Commonwealth (and actually works, I really dont like the garand lol)

Yep, that’s what this is. Prototypes of the Sterling were called the Patchett Mk.1 back then. One of the more notable differences was the use of STEN magazines (the distinctive curved Sterling mags weren’t invented until after the war).

I know it’s been asked hundreds of times and the answer is always that it’s not going to happen in the near future.

But Italy and Britain need their own tech tree. And if the queue is the same as the US and Germany, the player base won’t be split.

Also, new tech trees mean more premium squads, more grind, more event possibilities, etc. All that without the need to add unrealistic stuff.

Agreed.

I too question the arguments against.
“It will split the playerbase”

  1. We already had this basically pre merge and the game wasnt ruined.
  2. Most battles USA-UK/Commonwealth and Germany-Italy will queue together anyway
  3. Having some US or UK/Commonwealth or Germany or Italy specific maps wouldnt affect the playerbase split much at all. Indeed it would likely attract new players with the ability to for example specifically play as the British at Dunkirk, Australians at Balikpapan or Canadians at Juno Beach

Even if we didnt get faction specific maps, even just having separate trees would help so we dont have this huge crammed full tree, especially for Allies.
Like seriously, why should every single Allied nation other than USSR be crammed into the one tree??

Then weve got the situation of like the new Ithaca shotgun I mean its not bad but youre adding another shotgun (??) when we specifically want the lewis gun, jungle carbine and other content added to the USA-UK tech tree.

It’s not like they can’t just add it to US and Germany.

UK and Italy need to add a bunch of prototypes and foreign weapon to make the tech tree viable.

Lol the game was literally ruined, half of the campaigns were full of bots. That is why we have the merge.

There were plenty of good reasons for the merge, all I meant was having UK and USA mostly queuing together but sometimes separately I dont think would be much of an issue.
