You do get a bonus, you’re losing 30% of your xp and silver by quitting.

Lol the new squad idea made me laugh. Here’s something to add to it just for the fun of it, flag the player that tries to dessert with the friendly fire tag. So their own teammates can kill them.
I’m kidding, but the deserters are a problem. And hopefully eventually that gets fixed for both the deserter and the people having the deserting teammates so it’s more enjoyable for everyone.
At a relative scale it seems very little. As I stated even if I decide to stay and carry my team to the end I feel like I don’t get that kind of recognition.
Silver rewards for end of match medals are also coming. These things by themselves create an opportunity cost to quitting matches that would hopefully help incentivize people to stop quitting ahead of the new penalizations for quitters that they have also announced are eventually coming.
