you’re talking about the " restrictive " gameplay that mr veekay wants to force upon everyone else.
i thought you meant modern / cold war " enlisted ".
to which, i agree.
it’s why enlisted is, still floating.
and hasn’t sunked deep.
as no Historical accurate games has ever survived. ( unless it’s an RTS )
I don’t believe this game will go into the Cold War in earnest (for the foreseeable future) since the Soviet jet is still technically WW2 because the whole designed during the war so it counts rule. I believe we will stay in our wishy washy WW2 for a long time
The idea of BR 6 does sound neat since the war was 6 years so its like there’s a BR for each year (I know I know BRs don’t line up with history I just think its fitting)
BR 6 is easy to just add the best of the best vehicles, but I don’t think there are any weapons substantial enough to justify being put in BR 6. The Stg 45 is still in the same ballpark as the Stg 44. There isn’t that much power imbalance between guns within BRs as there is with vehicles. At least you can justify a Maus as BR 6 compared to other vehicles.
The jets are a terrible idea, they were barely in WWII and only showed up at the end when there wasn’t a need for air superiority. It’s starting to go like Warthunder where aSherman could go against a modern day tank…not really even.
Honestly - the devs could easily move post war stuff into a separate BR, while especially moving Tiger II H and Super Pershing into that BR, while letting Tiger II P and regular Pershing be the max unlocks for the highest WW2 BR, those two have armor that can be attacked by most BR3 tanks, totally fair.
Well it doesn’t literally needs to be cold war stuff, instead late WW 2 prototypes and stuff that just barley didn’t make it into WW2, like as a “what if the war went on” style BR.
IS3, Panther II, US heavy tanks, AS 44, STG 45, SKS, Sterling, Super bazooka, T20 and all those prototype weapons could easily work in that separate BR IF some weapons would be adjusted properly.
Yes that’s the “1946” option I mentioned, like all the stuff that almost made it to WW2 or was not deployed outside of home country – like T-44, E-series German tanks, jets, Japanese wonder tanks which they never had the resources for.
Can still be “what if” WW2 but separated from the actual WW2.
It’s been years since we were able to have a normal Battle of Berlin match without AS, RPD, Fedorov, Conders, G43k, etc:
Thats the cool part - a game setting in a hypothetical continuation of WW2 would actually look very differently from a literal cold war setting.
This would make Enlisted stay a WW2 shooter, and be even healthier for the WW2 feeling of the game, because the other BRs could stay very pure and WW2 like - not to mention, if this MAX BR post war setting would be handled like a “what if scenario”, then the devs might aswell add all maps to this specific BR matchmaking, since a hypothetical setting could include the idea of Germany defending Berlin successfully for example.
Personally, I think they should just make a rotating “even fight” mode where they have more balanced preset loadouts that you can play and rotate every month or so which campaign and weapons are used.
Also: To my knowledge the M2 Carbine was actually deployed in the later pacific battles in limited numbers.
Yes its more associated with the Korean War but apparently it was used in WWII. General consensus is “didnt see much action”, not implemented until May 1945.
Which to me is just another argument Where’s Korean War DarkFlow?
Since they are so desperate to go Cold War.
The only real arguments against Korean War previously were:
We’d need jets.
It would mean we go postwar.
Well now we have jets (including a Soviet one that is very clearly postwar) and as such DF is basically saying theyre going postwar.
I saw a poll where a significant majority wanted Cold War.
As Ive said before all we need now is the M4A3E8 (which is a WWII tank) and the Superbazooka, which started testing in 1944 and has been requested by many (Id much rather it then the German ripoff bazooka in USA tech tree).
Question: Did North Korean or PLA ‘volunteers’ use AK47s in the Korean War?
The jet is just a smokescreen. Not to mention the Cold War content, even the World War II content they did is a mess. Many problems have not been solved for a long time. They don’t have much energy to put on enlisted, and the jet is just a means to distract players.
