Axis play defense more or equally with other nations on all campaigns. Defenders are always at a disadvantage on this game.
Are we making an new springtime for Hitler show ?
Most likely yes
It is amazing at doing the opposite of its intended role of damaging tanks. Atleast in normandy.
I expect in moscow for it to be decent. Since tanks have paper armor
oof. This is why I havenât gone back to finish off Normandy Axis. All I got left is that grenade launcher and a plane. Probably going to continue playing allies for a bit.
3 silver for a k98 with a grenade launcher is insane.
An example of how it would be good to draw the attention of the axis faction would be something like this, hypothetical if they add the Pacific, for example the Japanese are given the skills to make banzai charges, place deadly traps in the jungle, power Throw us under a tank loaded with dynamite, things like that, the uniforms with leaves, their rustic but lethal weapons, their underground tunnel networks, carrying samurai sabers, things like that that make the Japanese faction unique, something new, something refreshing. Things like that should give the German Axis faction, not necessarily give them something OP, but something unique, something that characterizes the Axis faction.
Yes this is something i thought about to while playing Moscow campaign. Is it that the Germans has to climb them selves there to get it even which it did in a way. How ever after reviewing after completion, Russians are pretty even anyways when it comes to later equipment/vehicles as well. Its not that bad but overall i think Russia in that campaign is better because of its start then it feels more even later on.
Think it should be the other way around if were going for that approach. Russia struggles in the beginning then becomes more stronger later on. How ever this can also be problematic for new players though that is not as patient nor got the willpower to fight thru that
I think its the lack of more unique weapons across the campaigns that makes the axis a lot more boring to play. You just end up using the same stuff on those campaigns. Perhaps adding a better choice of small arms would make the axis side more appealing to play as currently its kind of boring having to use the same shit on the axis.
I would like to see a better variety of weapons as early unlocks for the axis such as:
Suomi KP/-31 (moscow) (maybe berlin ?) - not in game
ZK-383 (moscow) (berlin)
Mauser M712 with stock (moscow) (berlin?) - not in game
Gewehr 98 (moscow) (berlin)
Beretta M1918 (tunisia)
Even though such German weapons like the MP40 and k98k are great its rather frustrating when you are limited to using them across all the campaigns.
Also my favorite campaign for the axis is probably Normandy as there is a fantastic choice of small arms.
This is a big problem with the game. If you think about it the factions are essentially just re skinned versions of each other with different weapons here and there. There is no actual faction abilities or differences in tactics and they all even build the same structures. At the end it will be assault squads with automatics suicide wave attacking each other CoD style
There could be unique call in abilities like the Katyusha or have larger squads but limit the automatic weapons for the Russians in Moscow. Germans could get more assaulters to make up for the PPSH. Squads could be unique and not just a copy and paste of each other
I seem to be having the same issue but across all the campgainsâŚmy team always wins far to easily.
Where have all the players gone.
Had 8 players disconnect or fail to connect. Not really sure whatâs going on.
Unfortunately now the game feels like that, the soldiers running and jumping like crazy, it doesnât seem like they were soldiers carrying several kilos on top of them or things like that, that the AI instead of looking for places to take cover and return fire, it just stands in middle of the field to be killed like a fairground duck, if those aspects were improved the combats would feel more realistic, also the fact of increasing the distances and expanding the playable areas and reducing the gray areas, since not much time passes and We are already in a fight and everything is BOOM BOOM, almost without strategy. If they corrected those aspects, the game would really feel like World War II.
Why are the squads layouts identical as well. Why cant each faction have more or less assaulters or some factions have flamethrowers in them and others dont. Way too much copy paste in this game
Having unique uniforms would also be a great thing, for example in the battle for Moscow the squads could be a little bigger, since for some reason Germany had the priority of defeating the Soviet Union, we could also have Hungarian, Romanian, French, Italian squads, the Spanish division things like that, in Normandy the Hitler Youth, with faces of boys aged 18-22, having the option of choosing our camouflage for our squad, for Berlin, having the faces of boys aged 15-17 and the elderly 50-70, to demonstrate the critical situation in Germany, those details I think would add to the immersion of enlisted
Remember when PPD is trash,
While entire MP is laser gun?
Bring it back.
Make game from start Axis friendly.
Stop players from beginning to play Soviet side.
How to solve it: Well its an complicated process since theres many factors at hand.
The overall game play is one, since were playing with each other from all stages to. Some are in the beginning of their arsenal and some got them best ones. This is not that much of a problem though. Problem is to balance it from that as well so it can melt together better
One thing you could do is to have to look thru the process some how, how strong are they really during that stage. Chop it up in ex 4 or 5 stages thru the levels. Then weight over all the equipment how strong they are situational against each other along with tank and planes.
Simple put a point system of 1-5 or something and be true about it as much as possible then try to balance it in from there. One thing one faction dominates at that stage there should be an balanced factor with something else from the other faction. Then they can meet with that other thing later on.
Ex We start that Allies get air superiority early on but the Axis got Tanks and both are pretty even in InF then during the progression that shifts. Allies can finally take on the tanks better but then gets their Infantry bit weaker but still has the air and so on so it follows each other.
How i felt in Moscow was. Russia has the infantry, air and tanks was debatable the middle ground from the startâŚThen Axis came in later on with counterparts but the streamline went pretty much on hand in hand which made no sense since Axis had to fight their tooth for nail to get their countermeasures. The only ones i felt was tipping for the Axis as rly strong compared to the Allies per say was MKB and GRB.39 if comparing. Even the famously MG38 had an close contender DP which doesnt have the same fire rate ofc but its rly strong.
people would cry that one factions squads are OP
Like US starting with automatics or the germans fielding more belt fed guns.
Guarantee you the biggest reason for so much symmetry or copy/paste is âbalanseâ. also helps keep the learning curve low so you donât need to learn a new faction every campaign. Allows more mouth breathers to play.
Remember when Dev make that sudden nerf to Axis and great buff to Soviet?
Also when MP28 has 32 rounds?
Reverse the change. Make Axis much more easier for friendlies.
Also keep update more maps asymmetrically to favor Axis.
Axisâs players is not only always fewer, but also always noobs.
Making maps more difficult for Soviet to fight, while allowing Axis good players to progress.
Trying to balance it because of its player base is just waste of time of which you need to constantly correct and frankly unfair. I dont get that decision.
To add: I would have get it how ever if one faction is constantly attacking in that regard and the point is to close to be able defend for the other. Then its an matter of game play design that needs to be addressed with the map
