SMG ammunition

I love how this whole conversation is about DPS and max. possible damage without considering for a moment recoil (both the one you feel and where the weapon fires), damage fall-off, sight quality or even just the size of the magazines. Because even if the M3 has better damage potential, I’ll take an MP40 any day of the week.

Yep, even WT has this problem where on paper a vehicle should perform well… except it doesn’t perform at all. Or the other way around for some others. And they’ve had years to figure it out by now, while Enlisted has only been OBT for maybe half a year with them working on the newer campaigns a lot.

just why you guys don’t find it weird when some weapon has higher damage yet has more ammo than something weaker but also higher level, wtf.

and yet mp40 has higher DPS than m3a1 and m3

just by 2% at most but M3s have 33 higher total damage,

I just don’t really bother much with ammo in general. Unless it’s the italian tanks’ coax mg. That’s a 10% firing 90% reloading nightmare. But yeah, usually 1 or 2 mags wouldn’t really change much for me because I either die first or there’s an ammo box nearby. Whenever I find myself stuck with no ammo I just start memeing around with the knife. Plus as I said, damage and rate of fire aren’t the only balancing factor imo.

total damage is a theoretical number that you aren’t going to achieve very often since you need to;
A) live long enough to use all ammo
B) hit every single shot

also 9mm parabellum is both shorter and less wide than .45 acp

that just doesnt apply to me,
most of the time i live long enough i dont die for the entire match, cant find any ammo box except the one i built myself but sometime it get destroyed, and knife is just retard move in my case

it does happen pretty often

A. yes i live long enough to end the match with one spawn

B. exactly why i need more ammo because i waste ammo too much for a single guy since the server kinda shit it need full second to respond so i ended up spend more bullet than needed to make sure it’s dead or simply because i miss or live long enough to spend it all

i don’t though i’m almost always on the cap, trying to defend/cap it, aka being very aggressive but there is also another solution and that is to use engineers and build ammo boxes since you can have 3 of them out at max

I haven’t really had many problems with the servers so far. Only had 2 weird stuff happen but never had high ping/packet loss issues.

Gentlemen, what are you arguing about? Why don’t all guns just get equal ammunition. M1 Thompson players are probably often short of 120 rounds, and Axis players are short of 120 rounds on the M38 and MP43. An extra magazine and everyone is happy.

And not even in Moscow. Beretta M38 and M1918 have 1-2 less magazines than they should. PPT-27 too one extra magazine

the m1918 does follow the ammo rule of " SMGs — from 120 to 140 rounds or two magazines." (update .1.17.27) so it has 125 in total, but all the rule say is carried which i’m going to assume means total since drum mag ppds and fg42/avs existing, the ppt-27 it also follows the rule having 126 in total, can’t say as such for the beretta m38 since i can’t check it’s ammo

Most guns don’t follow the rule, so the “about 150” rule looks better. Also, I’ve always been uncomfortable with 120 rounds, but comfortable with 150.
Why not just make it nice for the players. Not to put sticks in the wheels, not to frame the game, but to make it comfortable.
Besides, I already wrote that in Berlin and Normandy the 120-140 rule is not enforced very often. 175 PPSh, although it could have been 140. 200 FNAB
