That would be understandable if this is an up and coming game but this game is 8 years old and within a few weeks it will be 9 years old So the customers want answers and we deserve them so we just want to know about the future of this game and where it’s going.

as far as i m aware and remember Churchil crew is indeed British .

Thats weird because you now made me think I was mad, but no I still have a yank crew and uniforms, though idk why no voicelines at all were playing on that squad?

That isn’t the crew of the premium I would log a support ticket, they have British tank hats and very distinctive looks, that is not them, not unless you somehow changed them???

No I remember complaining about this the second I got the squad as well, everyone else seemed to think it was just how it was.

How does your squad look?

The game was released 4 years ago. By that logic Star Citizen is infinite years old.

A 4 year old game does has plenty of time left to redeem itself by taking positive turns.

Oh you swallowed the propaganda then.

This game has been in the works for quite awhile and has had a lot of change in personnel.

So let’s move on from this and stop beating around the Bush and start asking real questions unless we want to just squander our time away.

I personally would like an explanation and clearing on the INVITE FRIENDS TO LIVE BATTLES mechanic.

keeping in mind the stack versus solo is the absolutely most unbalancing factor in the entire game, way, way more than any gear advantage/disadvantage, skill issues, OP premium gear, squad slots amount difference, AI behavior, map layout or any other issue you can think of, this is actually a game breaking step in the wrong direction, and most probably the straw to break the camels back in my particular case.

its not enough you get to face perfectly coordinated enemy teams directly from the get go while fighting entirely solo, now you have the constant presence of wild stacks of players popping out anywhere at any time to screw you up for good.

" hey mates, im in a match that i am actually loosing, some people even left the match on our side!! this is inhumane, come on guys, 3 volunteers to form a perfectly communicating and organized stack to fk over these random solo guys who somehow thought they were allowed to have fun, and are winning on top of that!"

not a good perspective from a solo player. not at all.

You’re supposed to somewhat work with your team and not try to be a one man army type of stuff.

And if that’s not possible then that just gives more fuel to the camp which wants a PVE game mode.

a solo player is not a single soldier in the battle. a solo player is one that queues SOLO for battle, with his own gear, his own knowledge, his own skill, and his will to play the game in the hardest difficulty level available: a full random team with no previous intertwined preparation.

its actually, if you think about it, the most masochistic way to play the game. but theres fun to be had there.

a good solo player is not a one man army. it is a player that reacts to what your team is lacking, and try to cover and plug the holes as good as he can.

Indeed so that’s why with this communication this will be great for people like me who don’t mind that type of play style and you’ll start to see more stacks developing when people Start making alliances and bonds and if I want to stir things up I’ll play solo instead of playing with friends I make and make more friends and keep ever expanding again.

i am perfectly fine with stacks existing in the game. to tell the truth, i think the (total lack of) social interaction in-game between players is one of its greatest weakness.

player retention on a game not only comes from the good or bad end product offered, but also from the intersocial relationships that can be created within said game. there is countless examples of people that would had left X game long ago, but stays playing, interacting (and spending money) in said game just because they made a solid guild/clan/army of friends and have their fun that way. more power to them, more power to their clans, more power to the game.

this is not what im asking about, and not what im talking about.

it is not STACKS ARE BAD.

it is STACKS ARE BAD WHEN FACING SOLO PLAYERS.

Oh I absolutely understand that but I’m talking about making stacks right out of nowhere instead of with some sort of plan in order and so this will be testing your adaptability and how good you are at commanding people around you.

Dwarf Fortress has been in the works for quite awhile (alpha in 2006) and is loved by its audience, with over a million copies sold on steam.

After 9 years of intense development Enlisted would look like this if they followed the successful DF model:

Surely, you’d be informed on text console that your left eyelid started ticking because of the explosives spam…

I’m okay with it as long as the game is fun and the devs care about us as well as about the game and keep improving it. (Which is not always the case unfortunately, often it is one step forward and two steps back.)

I hope the preferred maps system will not be a rushed like / dislike option (which I dislike immediately).

Well at least you’re optimistic while I feel nothing but misery and despair and knowing how much potential this game has and how much has been wasted.

And the recent updates to dwarf fortress are looking quite great.

just imagine if instead of all that crap of wind on the paratroopers clothes, tank marks on the mud, indirect lightning realistic approach, etc etc etc, they would allocate resources to something that could actually SELL the game idea to more people.

NEW GAME MODE COMING! together with our full revamp of the entire social aspect of the game, now play 12v12 all out 3x4 stacks in a competitive, organized enviroment!! ranking, cosmetic rewards, amazing experiences!!! all new coming this fall, keep in touch to learn more in next devblogs!!! only stacks allowed tho, start getting those calls ready!

pros> new. flashy. useful. sellable. marketable. money.
cons> it requires work.

its not that stacks are bad.its not that clans are bad. its not that inviting a friend to a match already going on is bad.

it is the entire stack versus solo situation, which this will make many times worst if implemented badly. and we have some experience about bad implementations here, dont we? no need to steam about it for too long…
