Simple QoL and QoC enhancements that should be common sense

First let’s get our daily German MGs needs a goddamn ammo buff rant out of the way. Pay $40 for an MG-42 squad who’s total ammo capacity is half of one belt for some barely ever used rigged up in the field gun some of the other nations have and that’s VS a gun still technically in use today (MG3). Yes I’ll keep complaining until I die idc who doesn’t listen and chooses to ignore facts in a biased manner

Now second. Who’s dumb idea was it to not give defenders a one minute or more (definitely more) head start for engineers to actually do something other than run an be a glorified spawn point builder? 5 matches in a row I was defending and 5 matches in a row I see the enemy within 30 seconds of spawning. God that’s brilliant game design just brilliant. Here’s an idea… MOVE THE FUCKING ATTACKER SPAWNS BACK. Make them wait 1 minute longer. And switch artillery to a team shared cooldown.

Third and lastly can we get squad presets? Some friends have lower BR stuff than others and it’s a hassle switching them individually every time. War Thunder has this so I know the concept is understood well enough

I know some of you at least have to actually play your own game enough to see these things

Well 50 rounds reserve means 1 magazine in reserve just like other mgs. If you want more reserve mags worth of ammo, then buy a large ammo bag for 1 extra ammo which means 3 worth of ammo total. You also have machinegunner engineer which also uses MG42 which can build anything since your squads are max upgraded. Sounds kind of like its worth the price but regardless I agree its overpriced. But that squad might be too good too depending on how you use it.

Well its not dumb since its intended purpose is not to finish building defense but at middle of fighting it as a way to avoid making it one sided matches.

Im so glad that someone else agrees that this is stupid.

As you said engineers are basically just a mobile spwan point. The way the game is right now there is basically no opportunity to actually develop the battlefield by laying mines, digging trenches, building tank traps, etc. You have to deliberately fall back to the edge of the gray zone to try an fortify the next set of Obj. This is a bad strategy because it takes your squad out of the fight.

When was the last time youve seen barbed wire and tank traps outside of a crowded room? The system rn is retarded.

It would be benefitial for both sides since Im sure that the attackers would use their time to build rallies while defenders regrouped.

You should ask your bottom seven teammates what they are doing
Instead of asking the top 3 players on the opposite side why they want to launch a blitzkrieg

When you understand what the last seven allies are doing
You will understand why those 3 enemies chose to use high-speed invasion and the necessity of high-speed invasion

This
We have soldier and loadout presets, but we still have to switch squads like monkeys every time we switch BR and use same squads.

To the MG, yeah.
To the defenders time, there are paratroopers so moving spawn back won’t to shit, unless we want to have 1 minute greyzone which would be annoying as most matches are 1-sided stomp anyway so this just artificially prolongs them

Node protection just makes serious players on the offensive side more vulnerable to being poisoned by passive players.
When the defender has more unnecessary time to build and ambush
Negative players on the offensive side will only cause more damage

in addition
The defender should be prepared in advance
Instead of a large number of people staying in the lost stronghold to waste time with passive enemy players or walking all the way back.

Groups that can’t build will never build
Players who can build will complete the invasion and construction within 30 seconds

Before we do this … I think a simpler approach to try first would simply make a pop up that says “Objective Lost FALL BACK to Defend Next Zone”. A lot of times I’m in the heat of a fight and don’t realize the objective was lost … a reminder like such on the top of the screen would help in this regard.

I know this is the practice field but could look similar to this:

There seems to be something similar?
Not very sure

First you should get a minimum of 2 50 round reserve or up the ammo to two 75 round drums.

Second I only mean at the beginning of the match. You don’t put engineers in a game just to let people CoD rush them 30 seconds after spawning. I’m supposed to believe the defending army just somehow after setting up a gun emplacement big enough to render a battle unti stood around like turkeys with mouths open staring off towards the enemy?? Ummm no bro. Even things like TF2 give you build time and that’s literally a twitch shooter if there ever was one

Probably wouldn’t hurt if half of those weren’t bots due to poor cross implementation of gameplay mechanics and shit ass greedy steam release running people off.

All the more reason the top 3 on defenders should get a better grace period to make up for the NPC like teammates even if they are real

Paratroopers get a longer flight time to the spawn and boom problem solved

Now see that’s pretty good idea too. I usually keep my eye on the map when the hammer is in hand but I know a lot of people don’t. Like have it flash up for engineers “Objective falling. Build defenses quickly!” like we are getting emergency orders from HQ even having so a radio man gets the message a little earlier because they also need more support options instead of just “gone fishing” every 3 minutes while they wait to spam sky death

I like this idea. The amount of times other teammates just sit there at the boundary trying hard to potshot, when really the enemy is already flanking the next point is just silly.

How about an Interceptor type upgrade for radio squads as well where they can try to pinpoint enemy rally points but you can’t have it and artillery strikes equipped at the same time

How would you implement that? As in, how would it work?

Similar to how you upgrade your engineers to build AT guns and the like however when you pick this it replaces the artillery strike option with intercept enemy communications.

Along with making the radio man a locational thing as in them having to be so close to the battlefield or spot they wish to scan/bombard in an “eyes on coordinates type deal”. Why are we calling strikes on areas we have no real sitrep for? This would also make binoculars more viable for loadouts as well

Hmm, interesting. Kinda like an opposite smoke barrage, which are pretty useless as arty, as nobody really uses that function.

And true about binos. I’ve yet to equip them as they seem a bit of a waste of silver. I’m sure I’m wrong though.

Atm they are for tank crew at least how I personally have them: I mimic the Binocs mode from War Thunder with them spotting and all. Also pretty good for the Mortarman in certain situations similar to anti-tank but with AT being more frontline it’s not as useful

AI is better and contributes more than casual players
At least they’ll build spawn points and try to attack tanks that get close to them
