Simple QoL and QoC enhancements that should be common sense

Smoke bombardment is good
It just can’t get points and is easily occupied by shelling
Most selfish people prefer to use bombardment where there are no enemies
Rather than pulling out a cigarette to protect teammates

Now You made half the whales and people who grinded for event squads mad, they already have longer spawn time than a rally point.
Try to take away something players paid for and watch their respons, wink wink stalingrad, it ain’t good.

Better solution would be greyzone preventing from landing there, also preventing from quick stomps.
But better is still dogshit, it would just artificially prolong the game.

Fix the core issue not just slap some garbage bandaid

And? It means they only bought it so they can spam it in that manner and are the type of people that will run us off anyways. If it’s that big of a deal then block paradropping past your side of the objective just like premium engineers can’t magically build a rally pint close by

The gray zone should have ~30 second to 180 second delay on advancement for the attackers once they’ve taken an objective. This should give defenders “just enough” time to get to the next objective and put up SOME fortifications. However, it isn’t so much that you turn the whole dang thing into Fort Knox making it nigh impossible for attackers to push. Sound fair?

If it gives time for more than just a couple sandbags before there’s incoming fire then sure. Any fix is better than none right?

So how is bumping one of the most expensive squads by 50 bullets against that logic? If people cry and whine about an extra 30 seconds to get a better battle with more rewards then that’s not just crybaby shit it’s straight up stupid. Everybody wins. Taking a fortified objective is worth more than a half assed one. More points for everyone and they get to feel twice as badass when they storm a couple MG nest instead of Hanz with a hammer an some sandbags

It’s a better solution than “let defenders see next objective” because, as I said, defenders will turn it into Fort Knox with all the time in the world. 30 seconds (plus travel time) to 180 seconds (plus travel time) is plenty of time to get some Engie work done

I’m down for it. Tbh that could end up being more than enough in some cases. As long as it’s at least 100-120 seconds before the first bullet whizzes by I don’t see any issues for either team.

Remember more time planning a defense means more time planning your offense as well. Giving enemy engineers more potential for their role on that end as well with more time for offensive building (rally points at flanks, AA and AT guns, digging trenches for supression positions etc) without making them too OP for anyone

The grey zone could slowly push up preferably, that way blitzkreig can still happen to an extent but not till most of the team has caught up.

If you are sure that the stronghold will be lost
You should try to prepare in advance (give up defense in advance)
Or start committing suicide after losing the stronghold
Instead of wasting time walking back or relying on system protection to modify the next stronghold into a fortress

If you keep losing ground
Maybe you should consider whether the problem is with your teammates or yourself.
Instead of pushing the problem to the enemy
It’s just that their elite few work harder than your elite few.

I’m talking about at the beginning of the match mostly. Afterwards at other objectives there usually IS plenty of time for better defenses/offenses but when you first start a game and you’re getting a shorter amount of time than that it’s kinda ridiculous.

The maps are already big enough just simply move initial invader spawns back a set amount and it fixes almost all of it. Everything else afterwards is just polish and balance

It’s just a bit hard to believe we are having this big battle and the defenders weren’t even at the strategic points they have control of long enough to actually form a defense? Like nah bro the Airborne just stumbled onto these howitzers and radio posts that were theirs on the way to meet the IJA… dumb as hell

It works in reverse and for any map almost considering this is a historical tactical squad shooter. Just look at the D-Day map it’s like the Germans were just standing there with thumbs up their asses waiting to hear Yankee Doodle blare out yet we have nothing but tons of footage of their very well built up defenses they vigilantly manned that still crumbled in less than a day.

Either in game or real life it’s just common sense. The defenders have control therefore they have more time on point for building. Unless the attackers can just teleport an army all the way to their doorstep as soon as they take control. That’s real immersive and fun begging for me to spend dollars on it right? Sprinkle in tweaking numbers for some weapons both premium and TT and wham you got something.

It’s not like I’m asking them to nerf the hell out everything but what I use. I love Radio operators and paratroopers too. I can’t be the only one with a bad taste in their mouth though that I can just spam away at the start and they never have a chance. That I can just chart the perks into a squad of Michael Johnsons on meth with SMGs. In a game with these features it’s fine to fix it in its current state without shitting on anyone. Keep your guns and your squads. Keep your perks and upgrades. Just also keep the start of every battle from being either sprint to kill or sprint away to build a rally point just to be able to sprint to kill quicker.

I have shovels, sandbags, MG nests, barbed wire… wtf are any one of those on their own? Until we can get more coordination and communication between humans and their squads we need something like this
