Personally, I got the luxury to comprise and include not-so-competitive squads since I bought some extra slots in every campaign.
Anyway show me the squads you enjoy using and that are not considered meta, would love to see!

I like to rp different historical/fictional squad setups because I’m like that. So like for my Germans I run riflemen squads with a machine gunner and everyone else with semi auto rifles like gewehr 43s as German squad tactics revolved around riflemen funneling enemy combatants into the machine gun’s line of fire.
And I’ll give M1 carbines to any of my Americans carrying heavy equipment ie mortars, radios and rocket launchers, as that’s what they’d get irl. I’m also obsessed with the Pedersen Rifle so I’ve got 4 of them on Normandy I use in place of the M2 Carbine cus ma pedersen rifle.

i like using stuff i was playing in the beginnings of campaigns, i will do a squad like this in moscow axis as well, allies too, but 9 man garand squad in normandy could be nice as well

Meta is funny since half of the time, non-meta guns are actually better (ZB is better than MG34, MP38 is most accurate SMG of the Axis forces or the PPD being as good (or bad if you are Soviet main) as the PPSh).
I mostly care for historical accuracy so I give a lot of standard rifles etc. and also out soldiers based on their ranks in the squad.
Example Berlin:
Rank I Volkssturm
Rank II SS/ Fallschirmjäger
Rank III Wehrmacht
This makes grinding more painful but hey at the very least the finished squads feel authentic.

Veteran Wehrmacht soldiers equipped with G43s and AT nade launchers and since I didn’t want to grind Gunner III, I just gave them a veteran Assaulter with a Beretta.

Experienced German engineers. Gave them Kars and a MP40

Germa recruits with Kars and one MG34 as SAW.

US soldiers with M1Gs, M1C and one M1919 as SAW

Red Army soldiers. Gave them Mosin excluding the Berdan and one AVS (my sole inf AVs I use)

Experienced Wehrmacht soldiers, who use captured Czech gear (dunno if the ZB is historical).

Lmao, no one is using smgs because of accuracy. It doesn’t really matter how good some weapon is for irrelevant stat for its classification.
MP40 is worse than the MP38 but people still prefer the MP40 for no reason. Enlight me.
And whats the point of Mkb as AR if some 9mm SMG is more accurate than the Mkb?
Why should you pick German SMG for CQC if their rof suck compared to Tommy and PPSh/PPD and lower mag size… oh wait I forgot. Drums and high rofs are bad.

mp34 slaps! No one uses it except for newbies.
it is good indeed. kinda suffers from dispersion, but not lmg type of dispersion.
damage is ok as well. especially at 4 stars.
love that sound as well.
wished more faction had it beside japan and normandy 
M1918 should be in Tunisia as well so I can enjoy it.

This is my Japanese Medic Squad, All equipped with the same items and perks. Meant to smoke the front to give time to dig in, place med boxes, and if possible anti-personnel mines to create a front line to start creeping forward. All while giving me the chance to heal my team effectively
interesting set up!
One question: why do you prefer run speed +10 % over healing speed +50%?

This is how all my squads look essentially.
Berlin is the only campaign I have many G43s because the SS units have them and SS usually had the best gear.
