M2 carbine was not even present in the Normandy campaign at all. earliest production was october or november of that year.

First, know your enemy what you are fighting isn’t a normal sherman (M4A2 in this case) it’s a jumbo don’t get the normal sherman nerfed for no reason

US Army didn’t field Springfields as a common weapon in Normandy either…

I’m guessing the M1919 is going to be the engineer emplacement. The airborne variant may make it in as a squad organic MG. Idk.
It’s been theorized all the british and Italian weapons in Normandy are being used as a test bed to gather statistical data for Tunisia. Wish they’d let us know if they are going to be removed or what.
I’m fine with Americans having significant airpower advantages, as it was historical for the campaign. I think there’s enough differences to make a compelling performance from both factions without it turning into a one sided curb stomp or requiring the allies to be filled with fantasy weapons or the Germans standard issue being the FG42.
I hope the revamp Normandy as time goes on and make it more focused with weapons and limit the amount of rare weapons. That’s the rub with allowing all weapons in, the best/rare weapons become the staple of a side. Give players Tigers… and Tigers are all that’s spawned.
I’m hopeful for Tunisia; however, this is Gaijin and they’ve never been really known for focusing on the History of it… Well outside of the actual vehicle models themselves; well, unless it’s the P-38 and F that plane with its bomb load.
The Sherman Jumbo was a variant of the Sherman with an absurd amount of armor slapped onto it. The side armor of the Jumbo is equivalent to the front armor of a standard Sherman (higher than that of Panzer IV for instance). The front armor of a Jumbo isn’t that far off from that of a King Tiger. So yes, it should be hard to kill with a Panzer IV, the two aren’t even remotely in the same weight class.
If you’re wondering how the Americans managed to make the Sherman as tough as the King Tiger, well I would point you to the Panzer I Ausf F, which is a Panzer 1, a dinky little light tank from prewar, basically entirely rebuilt into a new tank, that also happens to have the front armor of a Tiger 1.
Normandy is pure clownworld in terms of historical accuracy.
June 6th 1944, the first Jumbos rumbled ashore to battle with the Pz4s waiting for us right on the beach. All I had was my US army issued sten gun to battle the waves of FG42 armed Germans. As we stormed forward the numerous planes of the Luftwaffe bombed us on the beach constantly. Thankfully my friend brought his hammer and built a 20mm German AA gun! What a day that was

Also I just looked it up, the M1C Garand sniper was first adopted June 1944 it seems, the month of D-Day, HIGHLY doubt that they rushed some out the factory within the first week of the month to see use on the beaches. That said, I can happily spawn with my scoped M1 Garand! lol Yeah, pretty wack.
There are many many issues like that. We get further and further from accuracy by the day and now we have the Chaffee as well. It will only get worse

it may be balanced towards the us but if you look at the lower rank tanks Us vs Germany, germany will win any day of the week. You gotta learn to flank Jumbos and fight like all US tankers with M3,M8 and M4A2 that cannot kill their counterpart even frontally without being 1 hitted
i think its realy unfair and unbalanced to give the jumbo to the americans at lv20 and only the pz4 H to germany. the Jumbo was literally made to fight against tigers its a literal bunker against pz4’s. You guys shoul or replace the jumbo with something else or replase the pz4 H with the tiger
