This game is already way less grindy than WT. Everything is fine now. For playing 6 months I already have about 60+ 5 star soldiers in 3 factions I played

Which is why is this change without boosting a way how to get silver orders so mind blowing.
This is just “another shooter” with some things extra, but ultimately, unlike WT, this game can´t afford screwing with players, especially new ones.
If gaijin and/or Darkflow wants to treat this game like WT, it is doomed to fail simply because there is enough competition to punish this behaviour.

Just swapping soldiers has, at least currently, the issue that you must leave X number of soldiers in a squad even if you’re not using it. The free soldiers you get with each squad are essentially required to stay in that squad, so you’re going to need more leveled soldiers or play with understrength squads.
edit: or the squad you’re replacing, once you’re at squad limit for that campaign.
This annoyed me in the old system as well, but at least it was simple to get the filler soldiers with bronze orders.

except, you get the new soldiers from unlocked squads, and swap them for the squad that you don’t use?
Of course you send the unleveled soldiers to a squad you’re not using, but the point is that the new squad you unlocked comes with, for example, 4 soldiers but can use 7.
You need to replace 4 soldiers with 7 or accept that your squad is understrength (at 4 veterans).
And of course the free soldiers you get aren’t all going to be highest class soldiers - for example level 24 Moscow campaign unlock sniper squad comes with single Sniper II and two Rifleman I’s. Some people will accept playing with understrength soldier classes (remember stats will have an associated bonus in addition to being a perk qualifying requirement), but all three in that squad will need to be replaced with stronger classes to get maximum benefit.
Naturally you can just wait and not upgrade or purchase any soldiers at all until you have unlocked the final class of soldier of that type… but that will reduce your experience income during the grind.
