See ! AT Mine and AP Mine!!!

Why would you ever place them ahead? Play invasion. The map progressively moves back for the defenders. You can place them BEHIND your OWN lines and enemy tanks wil still run into them at one point.

Then remove the shared limit again.

The shared limit is there for a reason, it wouldn’t be worth reverting.

It’s only there for Moscow. Normandy has them separate.

Because I want to. Have friendly structures that are left out of bounds be automatically destroyed, if they aren’t already.

On defense, the mines wouldn’t be out of bounds even when placed behind your own lines.

I guess minesweepers and high explosives are even more necessary then.

why?

what does jeep and wagons have to do with mines?

I’m just adding that to the list of things that shouldn’t be in battles.

Minesweepers, wreckers, and soft transports.

Again, minesweeper wouldn’t fix the issue. Tankers can’t use it.
High explosives wouldn’t be amazing against mines either.

No matter what you do, you can’t make disposing mines easier than placing them.

ah i see what you mean.

well, i meant for minesweapers as metal detectors.

but i wouldn’t mind more variety.

although, i might agree that non combat duty should be not included. but you’ll never know.

Tankers can’t dismantle hedgehogs from their tanks either.

Make explosives decent against mines and forget about the minesweepers then. Potential solutions to the possible problems already exist.

At least hedgehogs are visible. And they don’t explode in your face if you try to dismantle them.

Ever seen anyone use the hedgehog to stop a tank? I haven’t

I like setting them up in chokepoints.

Even got a Panzer II to drive off of a bridge and sink trying to get around them.

Another thing with hedgehogs is that you can ram the tank into them to turn the tank into a solid piece of cover while you get out. Order your squadmates back inside, lie down, and dismantle. Works pretty consistently even when under heavy fire.

How is that different from repairing a track after a mine?
All I see is you have a choice of when it happens with the hedgehog.

The anti tank mines did more than just throw a track. The AT mines could completely rip open the belly of a tank.

And it cost more time/manpower to find and dismantle a mine than a hedgehog
