Reworking old locations

Removing the steel hedgehogs from the beach is bad. If anything, they mostly covered allied soldiers while running and blocked many bulets that I intended for them when I was shooting an MG42 from a bunker. They were also a unique opportunity for allied snipers for sneaky shooting from the beach - I got a headshot from a sniper hiding below a hedgehog many times. When I played allies and used a tank, they didnā€™t feel impossible to pass, it just required planning a few slalom turns and made the game more interesting for me. The German side never had time to throw AT mines there. Now with just the few wooden hedgehogs left, it looks like the Germans are only pretending and donā€™t even try to defend the Normandy, this feels just so unreal. Like a cheap parody of a war scenery.

Itā€™s very good that the devs are working on optimizing the maps, and I can agree with the Stalingrad modification with kiosks - that was an open space sometimes just hopeless to cross if there were a few snipers on the theater and no reasonable commander would force his soldiers to attack such an object from that side in those terrain conditions. But the change with the hedgehogs in Normandy is terrible. Why even place the wooden hedgehogs there? They have no effect anyway, they fall apart when touched by a Stuart. The Normandy had really great quality before, it looked historical with many obstacles but it was also not so hard to pass for the vehicles, certainly still much easier to pass than the streets of Berlin where an IS-2 can get stuck on a pile of rubble or AA cannonā€™s legs. The metal hedgehogs also caught many bullets and allowed the US bots to survive longer. Without them, D-Day doesnā€™t feel like a D-Day. Please leave the metal hedgehog placements jut as they were.

Most important in my mind if you really want to fix Normandy beaches:

Separte allied spawn points further, so that you dont storm the bunkers head on, but actually already spawn more at the sides of the map.

how about reworking old game modes too?

changes are good but i think we need a more war torn variant and where it looks like battles have been going on for days and more dug in trenches.

oky

wonders of prefab

canā€™t lock teams ( thatā€™s for the pve thing though ) , and wellā€¦ it doesnā€™t run smootlhy because of mods above a certain mbs, does not allow to have a smooth performance.

( despite working fine in the editor )

which i believe itā€™s due to the customs them selves not running very well.

i believe tommy reported such issues as well.

and it took him several tries before being able to have a stability in performance.

Edit. similar to the battle of the bulge mod that i sent you in private.

runs somewhat in the editor, not at all in the customs.

ps, i donā€™t like customs because of the missing features for easier friendly management and more control over those said customs:

which, i could upload them, but A, it wouldnā€™t perform as i originally intended them to be. and not how i crafted them to begin with.

( for example, 15 players or more vs AI )

and others improvements.

I donā€™t like the change of Stalingrad a bit. I think it is unnatural as a result of trying to preserve the parkā€™s character. ļ¼ˆThe building on the far left is fine.) I think it would be better to put an indestructible fuel tank.

I hope DF will bring the Normandy map from CRSED here

Players need more new maps and playable areas~

thanks for ruining my good flanking routes -_-

Clean up Berlin streets a bit please, itā€™s annoying when some small obstacle can block heaviest ww2 tanks.

Will let your tankers get better angles

Just port all maps from CRSED to Enlisted the same way they are adding back Moon.

They use the same assets and textures, afaik, the incompatibility is minimal.

EDIT: I would appreciate a more technical explanation from a developerā€¦

The D-day is the most garbage map while itā€™s supposed to be the most iconic for Normandy, what a fail, it doesnā€™t already look like the real D-day because of useless trees and bushes in front of bunkers, a single bunker on flat ground while the 2 others are back wich is already ridiculous and now remove the hedgehog and let the trees in front of bunkers. You should rework this map from 0

I see a lot of people canā€™t read and look at those changes that are already there as reverse to old maps. :man_facepalming: Now i know why devs add quest markers and yellow puke so those clueless people wonā€™t get lost instantly.
