this topic perhaps it’s not a priority right now, but since there aren’t many threads about it, i would like to talk it and let it be a reminder for devs.
Main Issues:
so often, i find quite disappointing the transport vehicles in this game.
but when it comes to transport cars and transport trucks, it’s just so sad and very low polished that it’s actually just… sad.
currently, my personal issues with transport vehicles are:

Hitboxes
those are just… a nightmare.
sometimes they get through, others can simply straight eat bullets despite having no glasses. -
vehicles do not respawn
weather this is a good or a bad thing, it’s just annoying. more often a random Schweinhund ( german ““friendly insult”” ) take the car or the opel blitz with just a squad of 3… and charge to the enemy with no common sense. so when you need one, they are all in the middle of the field often broken down, ( and you can’t repair them for whatever god knoes reason ) or completely destroyed. those do not respawn no matter what. while tanks can… endlessly. -
vehicles cannot be repaired
despite having tool boxes on my engineers. i don’t know why, but you can’t repair them. -
vehicles on wrong sides. ( wrong spawns )
what i mean by this, is, if you play normandy, you quite often find on your side the enemy faction cars.
for examples, the americans spawns and use kubel blitzes or opel blitzes weather the germans get to use the " water-( that cannot go in water )car that i don’t know the name. save over moscow or berlin. russians using german vehicles… yes, it is somewhat historical, but it’s just ugly. because doesn’t take too much to take the AA milk truck from wt with the quad gun and delete the quad gun ( which it’s also present in enlisted i’d like to remember ). -
lack of faction vehicles
so, you introduce transportation vehicles right?
yet not all factions has their vehicles ( russians and american forces do not have trucks… )
and the russian car is no where to be seen in any campaign outside the training area.
so those are my main " issues " with it.
and therefore i’d like to suggest a possible solution about the matter.
1st suggestion
my first suggestion would be to remove them compleately ( except the boats ), and introduce them as a “tank” squads ( or mechanized infantry that takes the slot of tanks). the reason of this, is because of a few reasons:

not everyone likes using tanks nor airplanes. and prefer having some sort of fourth squad.

could introduce more market for this squad when it comes for skins and decorations
( as long they are historical of course and back in the days they used to camouflage cars, trucks, put flags for recognition, insignas, boxes, net camos rolls, and transport equipment ) therefore bring some incomes. heck, even models of new trucks or different type of cars for prem. -
the players when need one, they can spawn with it, or grab one of those as long the owner of that truck is ok, if not, he can lock it.

xp rewards
even better, when speaking of tactical aspects having one guy to transport troops on the frontline ( for those few big open maps ) of others players. it’s more tactical rather than being limited to 3 vehicles that will get destroyed and could never be respawned or used again because of one guy.
and therefore introduce a new xp system for carrying soldier on the front line incentivizing the usage of vehicles more or like than throwing those like bricks at the enemy. -
new spawn system for light vehicles
just like the tanks, made out of 2 per faction and people cannot spawn more than 2 tracks to prevent people spamming trucks and reach in no time the objective. it was meant to be a thing anyway at some point with bikes, but no one use bikes anymore. so…
( somewhat explained here, but keep in mind that has been made during normandy cbt. i didn’t knowed pumas were a thing for tankers, nor multiple options for tech trees. )
it’s a continuation of this idea i guess. just move back in the line the vehicles, and include the car at the beginning or something.
but ideally, more controll for the players instead of being screwed up by teammates.
if this suggestion does not convince devs, we can go for the “”“easier”"" one:
2nd suggestion:
the second suggestion it’s a bit simpler,
first of all, if it wasn’t clear,

implement the missing vehicles
( such as trucks for the other nations ). -
make a system that recognizes spawns of each faction
therefore the vehicles should spawn based on the players team position.
( to avoid german vehicles in american/russian spawns ) -
make the vehicle respawn
for the previous reasons mentioned, it’s no fun to run out of vehicles because of a sniper squad ( or that random " dude " ) that needs to place him self and his somewhere in the front line for die right after.
In conclusion:
well, perhaps it’s just me, but i would like to see in the future devs adressing this issue.
( not before tank and airplane models being fixed, silver orders issue, and all the other “lovely” known bugs. )
