Kinda. Unless I missed something, he doesn’t want to add punishments, he only wants to shift the XP farming meta from rushing to camping.

Unlike the other guy who wants XP TAKEN AWAY from players who die.

running 20 squads into bullets is not a valid strategy to win in the game

someone who suicided over 20 squads and only got 20-40 kills is not effectively playing the game for xp or to help their team

It’s not about a hard change from rushing to camping

Players will still choose how they play, they just have to consider that if they lose too many men, then they will inevitably hurt their xp gain, and if they do perform well with lower number of deaths, they will be rewarded.

I imagine this would have a small impact on the game for people with brains.

But the mindless horde would likely continue play the way they do regardless of the extra effects

But at least, this way we can feel good about ourselves for performing well while losing less over those that lose more and achieve nothing, it feels good to know they are punished for their low intelligence approach to the game

as the bonuses and penalties as an estimate depending on the game mode too, and obviously the attackers get a little extra leeway since they have to take more risk to get the objective

And it would also vary per game mode, but that could all be worked out in detail by a professional developer who understand the importance of this suggestion for their game

Except it is. Theres little to none other options when your task is to overwhelm defenders that
A) Dont have tickets to lose
B) Most likely spawn alot closer to cap point & have reinforces at cap faster than attackers
C) This is the fast paced action people prefer, judging by posts on this topic.

Just like now, you can pretend to be the Rommel9000supremesatanslayer666DragonTamerAlucard69 tactical mastermind at the edge of map, being absolutely useless in effort to win the game.
Its your choise and best part is that you dont get penalty for that, you just dont get exp that you dont deserve for being useless.

If you have the “brains” to start with, how come you chose this game to practise your tacticool playstyle ? Theres literally dozen of other games that are build around this tacticool way of playing and you chose the most arcade game you could find in ww2 genre ?
I mean only way you could go any further wrong would be joining in to my little pony and asking at forums to turn that into GTA with gore.

“Look at my moral superiority, I did kill 50 enemies while getting all my soldiers home to safety with 0 deaths. Unfortunately we lost the game, but hey atleast my troops are alive”

Except it’s not

If you are losing badly, and keep running your squads into the tanks machine gun fire and into the artillery strikes and into the enemy facing emplacements, you aren’t going to win or achieve anything

All you are doing is burning through your tickets faster, that is all.

You could get more kills with less deaths if you actually use your brains than just running face first into a wall of bullets.

You simply do not have enough bodies for their bullets. This isn’t Russia in world war two. The other team is well equipped, and expecting your predictable paths. If you do not deal with their tanks first and their emplacements first, you will lose 20+ squads for nothing

However if you begin using your brains and begin to flank and work on taking out those tanks and the emplacements, now you have a chance at actually getting on the point and setting up to take out anybody that might come to get you out. This might fail, but already you have achieved more, you have got on the point, you killed some crucial enemies and you are now in position to deal with the counter attack

Meanwhile if you just press W you would have lost several squads, and you still would not have made it on the point, because the tanks and emplacements are still shredding your face.

You simply cannot win this argument with logic and intelligence

This is prime example of team that is “Tactically preserving tickets” while im pretty much the only one doing the objective.
And this shit is exactly why people leaves games, wanst matchmake improved etc.
And magically they still managed to die just as much as I did while “tactically preserving tickets” everywhere except on cap point.

Which is exactly why your “tactical ticket preserving” aint working.
If you lose your tickets long before your even close to cap point you will lose the game.

Unfortunately my team was tactically preserving tickets and unfortunately situation got to point that I did not have enough bullets to do all the capping alone.

You chose the most arcade ww2 game you could possibly find and now your asking to turn it to HLL / PS instead of playing one of those games.
Are you really in position of speaking of intelligency & logic ?

I take that n00b that zerg rushes to point regardless of casualties any day over a completely useless twat thats getting 50 kills at god knows where, never finding hes way to cap point.

Perhaps you should count how many people is in favor of your suggestion in this topic and how many is against it.

You seem to either not realize or deliberately ignore that with the current game pace, if attackers sit back and plan a strategic approach (btw, good luck doing that with randoms) to preserve virtual lives, in the meantime defenders (who have no reason at all to hold back) will have stormed the cap, fortified it like hell, and without finding resistance there they will have proceeded to push the frontline as forward as allowed by the grey zone, thus leaving even less room to attackers for tactical maneuvers.

clearly you are a top player, I am not even talking about you, this doesn’t apply to you, because clearly you do not have this issue and it wouldn’t impact you

I am talking about the players that I see getting mowed down for over 20 squads lost and they don’t finish at the top of the leaderboard, usually they finish at the bottom with very low kills and too many deaths, because they listened to this advice and they thought they too could finish first by just running at the point without any idea of what else to do

My friend has better equipment than me and he usually finishes top of the leaderboard like you with so many kills for the exact same reason I am explaining here, because they just keep running at the objective while he mows them all down. He usually plays with tanks, but even as a foot soldier, me and him when we play together we usually beat everyone because of this same mistake that you think is effective but it’s not. I am saying this to help people, if they just keep doing this, we just keep mowing them down.

Now if your team uses smoke, that is a different story.

But I see these people running in getting mowed down like The French at the Battle of Agincourt, it’s kind of funny

It didn’t work for the French and it doesn’t work for these people who are clearly not as good as you at the game

Im still going to take the guy with 20 deaths and cap points over a guy who has 50kd with 0 caps / engi points.
Kills & deaths are fairly irrelevant on attacker side.

That’s the thing though, they don’t get cap points, because they die before getting to cap the point

Usually my friend mows them down, and then I clean them out if they get through to the objective

Sometimes I barely see one guy reach the objective because they don’t try different approach, they think running in a straight line is the best way, it’s not.

You can have that guy

I will take the guy that knows how to control the objective and be present at or around the objective and denying it control to the other team over the guy that keeps attempting to run in mindlessly and dying repeatedly.

Because I know my guy is already smarter than your guy and will beat your guy when they meet up, because your guy is too busy worrying about w key to have any skill at anything else.

Like I said earlier it’s a losing argument, no point debating to defend these players, especially for a good player like yourself

we are better off teaching them better ways to play and setting up mechanics in the game to make them think about their actions, so that they can learn to use their brains

otherwise we are causing people to be more braindead

unless of course that is the purpose of this game

in which case, I stand down, proceed making people dumb, I like killing them too

do you know effect sniper that camps will have with 500 kills and 5 deaths? cause defenders have infinite tickets it is 500/infinite=0. so he will have 0 effect on winning. but that mindless player/bot that is just running into enemy and trying to get into cap is contributing more to win than that sniper in back. why? cause even if he isnt getting into cap, he is taking fire and attention off the better players that can go into cap and cap it.

Or you cant kill them if they use the said smoke ?

Due to recent BA buff id say its easier than ever kill people to long range which used to be pretty much reserved for tanks & planes in past.

So more than ever, you need to get close asap.

Yea, while your looking for that random guy that does all this ive already won the game with my zergrushers.

Let me put it this way, I really dont care does my teammate die 20 times while trying to do the objective, thats fine. Atleast hes trying to do the objective which matters the most for me.
I really dont need a guy whos 360 sniping somewhere doing fk all nothing to achieve the win.

just had a game with such a guy that you value

he finished 6th on losing team and gave it his best I guess using your approach

then this is the guy that finished 7th on our team, I singled him out because he was given best sniper and he was also helpful, far more helpful than your guy, this is why you cannot win this argument

sure my guy camped more, and lost far less squads, but he was still overall more effective and useful

we won the game with this guy, while the other team lost the game with the first guy

they would have done better with our guy, and I would hate to have your guy

Because your guy is nothing but a bullet magnet and has no clue, because he thinks he only needs to press W

Used this example because the match was the one where both teams change in attacking and defending, so it wasn’t just one team attacking and the other defending, which can sway things too much, this was a really close match

and I dare say our guys were simply more effective, and that is what wins games

Because you need only press W, Because tactics and other shit you want see here dosent exist, the only alternative is press W+A/D for flank, crowling in the mud for 20 minutes dont help no one

Perfect examples of this, these guys barely killed one guy per squad lost

if you think this is effective then you are simply wrong

Meanwhile this guy finished above them by just 3 spots and was far more useful and lost far less squads

this isn’t something that is debatable

no he really wasn’t, those 3 you are trying to shame were actually taking the cap zones while that camper was sitting back not helping cap the point to push onto the next one

Imagine having a player loosing 18 squads for 31 kills and still call him “the best sniper” and “he was helpful.”

I have seen rocks on the mountains way more helpful than that.

31 kills one will do with a single sniper in less than a blink actually pushing a point… But, what do I know…
