Again, incorrect, it was actually favoured by the French, the US version failed from the get go. Outside of the trenches, the Chauchat performed reliably and was still in service with Poland and the Low Countries until the mid 1930s.

My sources are first hand accounts from the Great War (book: They shall not pass) and forgotten weapons.

I plan on trying it tonight; I expect it to be somewhat better than the Madsen between premium stats and premium soldiers.

Source being my premium air service springfields being so much better than the vanilla springfield even on a perkless level 1 soldier.

You should try comparing it to fully upgraded madsen (if you have one)

But from what I picked from dead soldiers, it’s not good

RoF is slower than Spam-Clicking the SVT-38, recoil kicks like crazy for a weapon with such slow fire rate, iron sights are hard to aim on long range…

As a person who possesses the fully upgraded Madsen, I can say Chauchat is a Madsen with less fire rate (which is good because premium weapons should be weaker than the regular ones)

I also found a lot more MG-30’s than Chauchats which means Chauchat is not a very popular weapon right now

I don’t know why people try to defend this gun, either replace it with the Maxim Tokarev which is already modelled in the game or nerf/ replace the MG-30

With how hard it is to fully upgrade a weapon it’s basically unobtainable.

I have only one MG guy in my whole MG squad because I had to sell all my madsens in order to fully upgrade this one

Semi autos last I checked had theoretically infinite RoF as an oversight, so I wouldn’t really compare a semi auto to anything.

Recoil sounds disappointing.

That’s kinda true but RoF on Chauchat is so abysmal that regular noobs can spamclick faster

It’s not too bad but somehow worse than the MG-30

Don’t mind the gameplay, look at the RoF
The MG itself is not terrible and that’s how Premium MG’s in Enlisted should all look like

But it’s competition is what’s been bothering me the most
