It was fairly common for resistance and partisan movements to modify their weapons to be more concealable and compact. However I think it was very odd to give Germany a sawed off partisan’s PPSh. A sawed off PPSh certainly makes more sense for the Soviets with the mass partisan movements that resisted and hampered Germany on the Eastern Front
I think the German sawed off PPSh should be removed and replaced.
I think a neat replacement could be the MAS 38. The MAS 38 was France’s new standard sub machine gun that was just entering production when war broke out. Very few entered service before France capitulated and Germany took over production. The majority MAS 38s were made and used for the German war effort. It’s fire rate is 600-700

replacing rarely works because of implications of people who bought the items with gold to begin with. ( or used gold to grind it, upgrade it etc )

Walther Automatic Shotgun
A civilian toggle-action shotgun produced by Walther in the interwar period. It saw service with German police, and may have been issued in limited quantities to volkssturm units aswell. Semi-automatic. 12 gauge. 4-5 round internal tubular magazine.

Essentially a Finnish copy of the PPS-43 rechambered in 9mm Parabellum. Perhaps an ideal addition for Finnish Sissi units. Fired from 36 round box mags or 71 round drums. 650 rounds/min.

But it really doesn’t make much sense for Germany to have a sawed off PPSh. In fact I think the devs just gave it because they wanted to keep it on par with the Soviets when it wasn’t even necessary

There has never been any precedent of darkflow replacing a weapon so I don’t think it will ever happen, its not really urgent

I dont think that was the reason. Otherwise they wouldnt have given german ppsh artifically nerfed damage for no reason. I think the answer would be laziness. They already have sounds, animations and model for ppsh so they only needed to slightly tweak the stats and change model. Much easier than adding completely new gun

Though I would like to see proper French units eventually.
If I may Id like to suggest that the Ithaca be foldered with the M1912 Winchester and the 1st Agas instead get Owen guns since they are Australian.
Americans NEVER used the Owen. The Owen makes more sense for Australian guerillas than some random Yank shotgun. The German and Soviet guerilla squads also get to have SMGs, so why not Allies?

It’s just a meme weapon. It’s performance is one of the worst at that BR. I can even remember last time I encountered someone using this weapon.
I would mind it only if it was some meta weapon everyone is using. But that’s simply not the case. It’s already a pretty rare sight on the battlefield.

losing a weapon that as “nothing to do” with german vs getting mas 38 if they don’t cry of joice we can’t do nothing for them ^^ The gun perfomance is horrible, the user ask litterally to die using this thing, even pistol would be a safer option
well, if you like bolt actions as your main weapon, then I agree,
but that pretty much means its basically just a auto pistol at that point.
as you say no point of having such a strange weapon,it was just df laziness like US have Rpzb when they could have an proper english at launcher. It’s most likely the only one weapon that’s as nothing to do in german TT even FNAB -43 without being historicaly accurate is better.
Mas-38 or any other french weapon would be more welcomed than this useless one

Completely flawed logic. It’s not between this or that. We can easily have both. Especially since grind was reduced to total irrelevancy.

Personnally it’s because we could/should have get some thing more “german” as guerilla we have the exemple with the carcano in 8mm and so on. Something more usefull even with his Rof I would feel more secure with an M712 . Who’s gonna modified a captured weapon to looks like this. Russian we’re the pro at this not german
